Without any spoilers, watch Impact tonight.

Full Metal Mayhem - Hardyz vs. Dudleyz vs. Wolves - easily a top contender for 2014 MOTY. The best TLC match since Hardy/Punk at Summerslam 09.

Unfortunately it's meaningless as the next booked TNA show is on January 29th in Glasgow, and God knows what TNA will look like then. They've got nowhere to go with it.

So once I've seen last nights impact I can turn off *series record* until jan? 😉 ... No point watching anything inbetween if it's not relevant! 👍

If the match is that good, I don't necessarily think it's "meaningless" really. I recorded Impact last night for the first time in months to watch it as I can certainly still enjoy a decent match for what it is.

Well I watched the match on Impact and it was indeed fantastic. Some of the spots had me grimacing at how much it must have hurt

I also watched BFG, which was ultimately a bit pointless as I haven't really watched TNA properly for a few years.

It really didn't have the grandeur of being their Wrestlemania though, but all things considered, I can kind of understand it.

I can't wait to watch it tonight! ... Absolutely loved the previous bouts between the 3! 👍 ... Old school wrestling at its very best! ... Top notch entertainment! 😎 🚑

(I'll miss TNA because it's been fantastic recently! 😳 ... I just hope this hiatus doesn't do untold damage momentum wise!) 😢

The only way there'll be a hiatus is if they don't have a new network lined up. They've taped Impact up until the end of the year so you've got a while to go yet.

I suppose there could be a very slight chance that Challenge might tape some of the UK shows in January, but it would be very slight.

There are plenty of reports doing the rounds that TNA will have a "big announcement" at some point, so it could potentially be a new network.

The downside for them will be if it's on a network that won't give them as much money as Spike did, so they'll end up looking like more of a glorified indie promotion with the amount of money they can afford to pay the talent.

But they could make it work though if they concentrated on wrestling and basically what got them to this point in the first place.

I was under the impression the remaining impacts were gonna be highlight shows & 1 night only ppv's 👎 but if that's not the case & there gonna be proper storyline orientated epis then I'll keep watching & recording! 👍

brilliant TLC match to cap off a brilliant tag series

this is why we need tna to survive, they need alot of improvement sure but those spots, the shots to head etc, we cant have that eradicated from pro wrestling.

this is largely why BFG was no more than a one night only PPV - they didn't want to affect any of the currently taped storylines.

reading that the "big announcement" that's being talked about isn't about a new network but more to do with them apparently looking to sign a "big" name that will allegedly cause a "shock".

The most logical assumption obviously has to be Alberto Del Rio I suppose ..

Two things from Observer Radio today.

Within the company, TNA management are saying 10 days for new TV deal.

Also the rumour going round TNA is that Kurt Angle is staying in TNA. TNA want to keep it quiet in order to create a shock when it's announced.

Apparently they did offer Punk the same money he was on with the WWE but he turned them down, so I'd say it's fairly certain that he's done with wrestling.

I don't believe for a second TNA offered Punk anywhere near the money he was on in WWE. What a kick in the teeth, yet again, that would be to the TNA originals who they couldn't afford to keep to offer Punk that much money.

I suppose it's feasible if Spike were willing to stump up some, or all, of the cash. Having him in the promotion would almost guarantee a big spike (pardon the pun..) in viewers which would mean more advertising revenue e.t.c..

It would be feasible if Spike were willing to sign them to a new TV but even that seems unlikely. I'm sure they thought Hogan and to a lesser extent Bischoff, Steiner, Flair, Angle, Nash would guarantee a big spike in viewers and look what happened there. Spike seemingly just lost a bit of money paying Hogan whilst ratings stayed flat.

Too late to edit but I can't see them offering Punk an apparent $1.2m a year whilst most employees are struggling to make a living. And if they did, I think it's just another example of poor management.

it depends,if it led to increased ratings and popularity it would be worth it.

alot of the indy wrestlers can be repalced, cm punk cannot.

kurt angle was a huge signing, if they had sports entertainment booking it wouldnt have petered out(it was great for 3 months or so)

TNA need to sort their booking out, thats whats holding them back.

It's like Jim Ross said, TNA gets 1 million viewers every week that are loyal and in the television landscape, wher most shows are seasonal and wrestling is a tv show, it's fake it's not a sport. Having a show 52 weeks of the year that will guarantee you 1 million viewers is not to be looked down upon. 1 million viewers on a network like Spike, which is not a big network at all does mean something. If they feel they can replace those 1 million viewers with a different show that costs less money then they are fooling themselves but if they want out of wrestling then nothing will change their mind.

And lets be honest, wrestling has been dead since around 2005. It's not relevant at all and isn't likely to be again any time soon. Any real wrestling fan out there will be rooting for TNAs success. It's the people that want nothing to do with WWE, the Jeff Hardy's, the Kurt Angles and now CM Punk that give people some hope with other companies even this GFW with Jarrett. People want to see these guys wrestling and they want competition for WWE. It's like I said in the WWE thread I hope AJ leaves WWE as expected and I'd love Orton to go away aswell. I think they would be more beneficial elsewhere as there's nothing else to do in WWE.

Many people don't have faith in her resigning her contract and besides, Punk will probably get a multi million dollar payout from WWE rather than go to court. Why work when your married to someone who is currently a multi millionaire and is set to get even more? SHe's done all she can in WWE. It's time to get out early and enjoy life.

At the risk of taking this thread off topic, why would Punk get a payout from the WWE ?

Genuine question because I genuinely don't know. I would have thought that since he walked out on them, it would be the other way around for breach of contract.

I thought Del Rio was class & I'd love him in TNA! 😎 ... He was wasted in wwe imo! 😇 ... Should have been wwe champion numerous times! 👍 ... & I finally watched metal mayhem / bound for glory last night & loved em! 😇
