Yeah your right, Angle counted really slowly most of the match then really quickly at the end, it's almost like he knew that was the end of the match

I agree they have been doing some really good stuff, the Tag Team series and the recent 4 way match stand out for me very recently. Let's just hope that they can find a new channel and carry on producing great wrestling.

I assume it will be best of episodes. Apparently they've been taken off air this week and Spike are airing a film in its slot.

I feel really sorry for the staff and talent, they haven't got a show pencilled in until January and I bet the majority are on pay per appearance deals

If TNA can't find a new TV deal, the UK shows in January 2015 could be the last few shows that the company ever does, which would be a shame.

I'm sure they will find a network but I don't think it will be near the amount they get from Spike plus they have to pay commission to those negotiating the deal for them too.

I certainly think TNA and Spike are done. It's said its cost less for Spike to air old episodes of Cops which also gets higher advertising revenue.

Spike apparently pay $3.12m on Impact a year and the two networks in question have lower reach and viewership so I think personally TNA will struggle to get the $60,000 an episode they currently get, never mind the $100,000 they apparently want.

It will be a shame if they don't get a network but at the same time I wonder if the brand is tainted beyond repair anyway. Can TNA actually build upon what they have or are they destined to close down. I certainly hope they don't but things don't seem bright sadly.

I think TNA is a tainted brand unfortunately. Once they downgrade to a lower level network, I think they'll just be kicking around at that level for the rest of their run.

Yep! ... Unless a proper network such as ABC, CBS, NBC (or Fox etc) fancy taking a chance then it's curtains! ... It's a shame cause wwe aren't the behemoth they were during the wcw days! ... Someone with cash could easily provide wwe will proper competition!

I remember reading Triple H state "he wanted NXT to become a genuinely big brand, the next WCW...apart from going out of business" If TNA does fail to find a TV deal or if it does but has to downgrade its budget level to below that of ROH, then 'The Game' could do a lot worse than sign 10-15 TNA talents to bring to TNA. I know some them are well past 30, but they have been on national TV for years, have a following and could allow NXT to become a two hour show. I'm talking guys like: Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Eric Young and James Storm. Magnus should be brought in regardless; Kenneth Cameron deserves to be re-signed too.

Think I'd prefer TNA to stay open though and it won't happen due to cost cutting amongst other things. WWE could probably have signed AJ Styles, MCMG etc when they left TNA. But it is food for thought on how to give good talent a regular wage so they don't have to consider leaving the business and looks at growth of WWE's most consistent sub-brand. Triple H would likely treat them better than Vince would on Raw and Smackdown.

Someone with a lot of money, I think you'd need more than McMahon money to take you even close to the level of WWE.

TNA has always been horrendous when it comes to editing / presentation! ... Cheap & Nasty springs to mind! ... but the wrestling itself is canny tho!

In the nicest possible way guys, there was plenty of time to get behind TNA before Bob Carter pulled the plug!

TNA 2009-2013 was a huge gamble with Carter money which needed to get to Turner WCW levels to be viable. They gambled and found the market simply wasn't there.

I think the business outcome is there for everyone to see: A promotion with TNA's profile costs more to make than a TV company can make showing it. They tried literally everything, but the audience just refused to grow.

I don't think the problem is confined to TNA, but obviously WWE are a long way from going under just yet. Somebody needs to find a way to make wrestling relevant again to an audience beyond the hardcore, or the industry will continue to shrink.

The only way to do that is to aim for non wrestling fans. Wrestling fans will always watch wrestling, they will watch anything with the word wrestling in the title.

I agree. I remember the way it worked in the late '90s in the UK: The more "alternative" characters seemed to draw in casuals. The Hardys, Lita, Crow Sting, Shane o Mac (weirdly). These were the people who drew in my non-wresting-fan housemates in that era.

Nowadays Daniel Bryan was starting to broaden wrestling's appeal I think. It's a massive blow that he's out of action. TNA wise, I think Hardy's their trump card. Aries could have been too if they'd not tried to turn him heel when he was champ. Momentum's lost now I think.

It's hard to do and I think if TNA want to stay in business they need to throw the kitchen sink at WWE. They need to be completely different, they need to get mainstream attention, good or bad, they need people talking and having a look in at their product. Wrestling on it's own doesn't draw. You need more than that and your average TV viewer doesn't care about wrestling or wrestlers but they will care about characters and stories and seeing things that they wouldn't see anywhere else on TV. They are drawn in by watching people that simply would not and could not exist or do those things in the real world and the best part is it's a live performance and not a carefully filmed and acted TV show.
