No. He isn't the parent. If he has reason to believe Faye is in danger he can flag it up to social services and hope they decide she's better off with him, but it's all unlikely. The whole storyline's a pure farce.

If you ever need to use a Pawn Shop and intend to retrieve your item DONT use the ones in Manchester. Seems they let anyone buy anything back without a ticket or proof of ownership......especially watches!

I thought the social worker was back on the scene because Anna contacted them to ask advice about this Tim bloke suddenly appearing? I could have dreamed that though...

I was recently at home, sick with the 'flu, and watched several old CS episodes on YouTube - mostly from the 1960s and 1970s. I was struck by how much BETTER they all were than the stuff we're being fobbed off with now! (And yes, I'm aware that I could stop watching.) The story lines were much more realistic and much more about the characters. Even though those characters led rather narrow little lives, they were realistic and INTERESTING. I wish the current writers would go back and watch a few of those.

re the ever so tedious story line about Fay
Has Anna actually been to court to sign the papers relating to the adoption yet? If not then the local authority still is responsible for the child. Instead of Owen permanently showing his paddy and generally trying to act hard, why don't they just speak to the social workers to see exactly what rights Tim has? |

Made me smile when Roy showed the casino manager an itemised list of his Mum's losses - as if she would have kept a list or remembered her precise losses to relate to Roy.

As you mentioned the casino manager, it racked my brains as to where I had seen him before, he was the mad man that pushed the blonde girl who's name i have forgotten over the cliff in Emmerdale years ago. His name is Kevin Pallister and I think his name was Graham or something in the programme. I'm sure he was on Corrie years ago too.

I can't believe Anna makes beans on toast for dinner, and to think she served that when she has company.

I've now seen Roy's card counting exploits. Leaving aside the ridiculous idea as a story, why can't they take the time to let the scene develop properly and stage it better?
Roy sees about half a dozen cards and that's enough for him to see a pattern, the dealer allows him to stop mid hand and turn to hold a conversation with the others (wouldn't that be seen as a little suspicious) and, finally, they couldn't have made it more obvious, with the whooping and hollering, that there was something going on. I'm also not at all sure that Roy's outlook on life would see him taking such action to retrieve money which he knows was lost legitimately. |

So how many Corrie characters have now returned from abroad after a short period of time with a boyfriend/fiance in tow. Smacks of rehashing old storylines AGAIN!.

And just what legal claim does Gail have over Lewis' clothes? No more so than Beth, so why threaten her with the police?

Agreed, in fact that he went to ask for his Mother's losses back in the first instance was ridiculous, as if a casino would even consider it |
