What series did the mass murderer appear on? I bet they don't show that one.
A lot of the contestants on Bully looked like mass murderers - you're telling me they actually really had one on??

Yes, he did look like one imagines a mass murderer to look like... He has become known as the Bullseye murderer now.

Jim has said himself the first few episodes where deleted as they was that bad and he never thought it would make a 2nd series.
These ones aren't much better. If ever a series needed a slight tweak to the format, Bullseye did, otherwise I doubt we'd remember it at all

And with that twilight zone music they play over the prize board prizes it's like a bad acid trip.

Of course, later they just used it as the 'in the time it takes the board to revolve' music, which is about as much time as a human can tolerate it without evacuating their bowels.

How much did they lose in cash when they gambled?

They just seized defeat from the jaws of victory!!

It wouldn't be a typical episode if they won. The perfect ending.

Damn. I only caught this thread in the last five minutes of the +1 repeat. Yes, it looked gloriously rubbish, and I want to see more!

When are the next batch on? And/or when are these repeated does anyone know?

This really could have been a spoof.

"20 quid question, on the Bible".

"Sorry to loose you, here's your 20 quid and a chalk holder" - Produces the largest bank notes ever seen to mankind

Waiting whilst contestant in huge, ridiculous flares takes his coat off.

Fiddles with the darts, erm yes that's 11.

Epic, comedy gold.

20 quid wasn't worth much more than it is now. .
Brian had dragged that suit out of the back of his wardrobe for his 15 minutes, he probably hadn't worn it since 1972, it was at least 6 years after flares were a nooooo.

I don't remember the murderer on Bullseye, but imagine it went something like this:

Jim: 'What do you do down in HTV-land?'
Mass Murderer: 'I'm a mass murderer, Jim.'
Jim: 'Super, smashing, great.'

Don't think anyone chose to answer a question apart from the bottom level - ie choosing to try for 25 rather than 101.

A number of differences to the later series.

ATV Zoom 2 ident used before the programme.
A longer title sequence with an appropriately lengthened theme tune.
Differently coloured set (ie white and blue wall designs as opposed to the later yellow.
Voice over announces each pair of contestants upon their entry into the studio.
Order of play seen on air, through the use of a specialised dartboard. Player nearest to the bullseye goes first, furthest away, third.
Different categories on the first round board. Also uses a green, red and black colour scheme.
'Knowers' ask the 'throwers' to throw the dart in a specific money segment as well as the category name.
First round leavers receive a tungsten Bullseye dart and a chalk holder.
Second round board also uses a green and red colour scheme.
Bonus buzzers are not used, second contestant is asked the question anyway, should the first contestant answer incorrectly.
Scores are counted by Jim himself, Tony Green does not feature in the series 1 episodes.
Charity segment played as usual but without the bronze bully element.
Differently designed Prize Board. Features a similar look to the traditional matchplay dartboard but with a green and red version of the centre of the more familiar Prize Board.
Prizes are announced over still shots of said prizes, with the segment number in the bottom left corner.
Slightly different closing 'happy' theme.
ATV Production endcap, followed by Carlton distribution.

The episodes definitely had a 'series 1' feel to it. I liked it however, if just for the sake of curiosity.

The opening titles are a bit saucy - all the women clearly have their nipples drawn on. Was this toned down for later series?

Much of the original title sequence was removed (either in series 2 or series 3). The original theme tune was also shortened.

Hey, don't forget those fantabulous white socks those dudes wear.
And the polyester tight trousers and unflattering jumpers Tony Green wears
