Orange handset unlocking
Hi, Has anyone else noticed they've now changed the terms? Was certain last week it said 3 months Quote:
In order to have your phone unlocked: http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/su...ersonal/474187
You must be a current Orange or EE customer. The handset to be unlocked must have been registered to an Orange account in your name for a minimum of six months. The IMEI must not be blacklisted (customer services will check this for you). Your account balance must be zero; everything needs to be paid up to date |

Thats pretty rubbish terms. What if you want to go abroad and use a local sim?
And yes, they used to be three months which in itself is excessive. |

Say you buy an Orange phone on pay as you go but you're a contract customer half way through the contract so just gonna use the contract SIM card in the PAYG phone... Will they still unlock it as you have an account with them or will you have to be using the PAYG SIM it comes with which sounds a bit silly?
