If so, then it's a temporary stream and needs national coverage (so that puts COM7/8 out of the question). Few other places where it could go.

BBC Red Button 2 will be good if it was permanent, More choice for the viewer but I don't think so.
If they did they could then do their 7 main channels (5 streams) in HD, taking up the space of one MUX and have space for 5 24hour HD channels, 15 24hour SD channels, or a mix of the two, with their radio streams taking up the space of 1 SD channel! |

It would only be permanent if the BBC had more money and they had use of both there MUXs as DVB-T2.

If they could incorporate iPlayer Radio into Connected Red Button, then radio can go that way in the next 10 years. If they incorporate Democracy Live into Connected Red Button, then BBC Parliament can be replaced with Democracy Live... And if more frequencies are given over the mobile internet, then almost everything will be online...! |

So it would be a non-starter. |

Yup, we've Red Button and Red Button 2 but no HD stream for these games.
See schedule at http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/winter-olympics/25213838 And Red Button page 998. |

It would be nice if they added latest news and medals table to the red button channels.

I had a look at 302 sometime after midnight, and it was an MHEG caption.
However, the EPG listed Six Nations. |
