CSI NY not being broadcast til autumn 2013!

Just looked up on the geektown website and they have it for being broadacast sometime in autumn 2013. The other CSI is back towards the end of the month so why is this one back so late?

When there were 3 CSI's it was CSI:Vegas, and CSI:NY together for the first half of the year, and Miami for the second half

I would guess the reason being that now CSI:Miami is cancelled they are moving NY to show later.

But it means a long long delay between the US showing and the UK.

5 have always made a big stink out of having 'brand new' CSI all year round, so moving NY to start after Vegas finishes still gives them the opportunity to do that.

I suspect we'll be looking at around August though. That way, NY can then run through to early January when any new series of Vegas would look to start.

CSI is not nearly as popular as it once was, especially NY. So it got bumped for their newer imports.

Will be a bit bad for the two episodes that cross over

that seems like a long way away, I suspect C5 think this is the final season, so are in no rush

As for the crossover, when C5 showed the trilogy they aired the Miami episode out of sequence, so they will most likely do the same here.

I believe the show has at least one more season to come, even if it is a reduced amount of episodes, E.G 10-13 episodes.

I always thought they should have staggered their CSI shows. Vegas in January, NY in March and Miami in June. Or something like that.

I'm not bothered. Got too much other stuff to watch

Not the case. Indeed the reason they don't want them airing at the same time is precisely due to their continuing popularity allowing them to serve as anchors at different times of the year. Sure, they are down on their peak, but they are still right up there for C5.

I have my doubts that it'll be that late. Especially now CSI: Vegas has been rushed back earlier than planned due to an underperforming Dallas.

It'll probably be back in July or August.

err the number have dropped off considerably, this isn't just opinion, go look up last years ny numbers. Miami did much better over here.

Same here. I never got into the other CSIs but I have always liked New York even though it does stretch the levels of believability at times. For me, it's the characters that make it the best of the CSI franchises.

CSI:NY has been trimmed to 17 episodes this season for a new programme starting in its slot. Which is exactly what happened to Miami.

Also the season finale is next week.

I don't think it's 100% certain but it's looking that way. The problem NY has it that the costs of making it keep going up but its audience keeps going down. CBS need to decide whether to replace it with something cheaper or spend the money on something big that will pull in the viewers (and advertisers). That's hard to do on a Friday night.

No spoilers, but if this was the final episode they found a nice way to close the show.
