Urgent-Advice please. How to cook Salmon Fillet
chinchin
15-02-2013
I bought a 125g pack of Morrison's Atlantic Salmon Fillet (Lime & Coriander) I need advice on cooking times, temperatures and methods. Would prefer to bake it in the oven, but grilling is OK also. Help please! No instructions on the pack!

Fry it... guessing at oven times could go badly wrong

Why are you not just buying a salmon and doing it yourself?

Thanks peeps I found a site and will cook it at 190C for 20 mins. Someone said not to use foil due to the lime marinade- hence the longer cooking time and lower temperature.

I wouldn't have the confidence to cook and prepare a fresh fish, nor do I have enough space in my tiny kitchen.

Hi chins, if the fillet is very small or thin through, only give 15 mins at that temp or it will be over done You should never overcook fish

If baking, then consider soaking in brine for 30 minutes then rinse clean - it'll draw out the protein that can look a bit like egg white when baked.

*edit* - obviously, before cooking
