I have seen one or two on here mention this amazing band before, but has anyone seen them on their current tour?

I did last night, and they really are an incredible representation of what Pink Floyd were all about.

I've seen them about eight times now, and this was the first time since they had some members leave to form the BritFloyd version, but there was no difference in quality.

They are not like most tribute bands, as there is no attempt to look and act like the original members. What they do is put on a proper rock show of Pink Floyd music. They have a superb sound system, and the quality of their performance cannot be faulted. It really does sound like Pink Floyd.

Anyone who likes Floyd has to go and see these people, you wont regret it.

Yup go and see every time they tour the UK.

I shall be going to Sheffield beginning of March, front row seats.

The band are truly brilliant and the girls astonishing, especially doing Great Gig In The Sky.

They actually played at Gilmours birthday.

They were great when I saw them a few years back. Playing the Whole of Dark Side.
Last year I saw Brit Floyd. Not sure which I enjoyed most though.

Although I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan they have never appealed to me.

The trouble is I would resent paying more to see a tribute band than I did to see the real thing.

There are probably many that think that. I did too about tribute bands, until I saw these. Every show you hear afterwards first time goers talking of how they cant believe how good they were, and how the music is just like the real thing, and lets face it, this is really the only way most can hear this music live now.

They are not like other tribute bands.

But the tickets are still more than I paid to see the original.

I get a huge enjoyment from discovering and listening to new music, so whilst I still enjoy occasionally listening to The Wall or Atom Heart Mother I listen to current music more. It is the same with going to see a band, I would rather go to see a new band than one I have seen numerous times before.

Let me guess, you saw them in 1975 paying short of £10 to see them

But thats just inflation. I once saw The Moody Blues for 50p.and that was at the height of their fame. Means nothing now.

If you're not bothered about listening to Pink Floyd music, then fair enough, but anyone who does should see these guys, because they play it brilliantly.

The sound is enormous, the special effects are good, and they play the music perfectly.

They toured a few years ago, doing The Wall in its entirety, and it was stunning, so if you like that, you'd have loved seeing them perform it.

It was the first time anyone had done that since Floyd themselves. Of course, Waters has done a huge tour of The Wall since, on a massive scale, and I saw that, which was incredible, but I'd go see The Aussies if they did their version again.

I've seen them four times at Cardiff CIA through the years. I saw The Wall tour you mentioned in 2009 too.

The Floyd are my favourite band and though the APF play brilliantly and their stage set is awesome I found watching them was a curiously empty experience.

They also play too many post Waters tunes for my liking.

P.S. Funnily enough they are playing Cardiff tonight and I did consider tickets but they are doing DSOTM and Ive already seen Waters doing it at Hyde Park

That is what I have found whenever I have seen a tribute band, that is why I don't go to watch them, no matter how technically proficient they may be, or how good the lights and sound are, to me they can never replicate the raw emotion of the original.

If people like to go and see tribute acts and enjoy themselves that that is up to them, but they do absolutely nothing for me. I get far more enjoyment from seeing a new band in a small venue playing their own stuff than I would seeing a group of people "re-creating" old music originally written and performed by other people.

I'm not a fan of tribute bands in general, but find that these are different to others I've seen.

I'm surprised someone found them an empty experience, because whenever I've seen them, people all around me are talking of how good they are.

Of course the real thing are always going to be preferable, and watching Waters do The Wall was better than seeing the Aussies do it, but the chances of seeing the originals now is remote, so to hear the music played at this level is good enough for me, and thankfully, many more.

I've seen some other Floyd tribute bands, and they dont come close.

Great fun at the O2 last night. I'll never get tired of hearing The Dark Side of the Moon and these guys pulled it off splendidly.

I suppose if you have seen the real deal, you are always going to compare and go in there ready to judge them against the original.

You are, and for other tribute bands, I've had the empty feeling, because the music was okay, but nothing outstanding.

I find this lot are at a different level. They have a fantastic sound system for a start, and the music is played as good as it is possible to play it.

It is not Pink Floyd, and that is a given, but to hear Pink Floyd music performed live at this quality is worth a go.

Nice surprise yesterday to see Roger Waters is doing The Wall at Manchester in September. Just got my tickets.

Now that is better than the Aussies, but I'll still go and see them too next time round.
