Like the title says.

I have to do periodic checks on Amazon etc to see if any artists I'm interested are releasing new albums.

How do you come across albums? Is there any alerts web sites for favourites artists or whatever?

Maybe you should follow your favorite artists on Twitter or check their Facebook page. You'll be getting all the updates directly. Or maybe you should check the artist's website instead of Amazon.

Other than that, blogs and forums can also help you.

Well, I tunes has a pre-order and new releases section and that's what I use but mostly I have already seen them through promotion or online articles, forums etc.

I use the new releases thread on Buzzjack: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index...owtopic=150533

There's also this Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...elease_in_2013

And I also check blogs and forums (like Popjustice) for the latest news.

One of these should do the trick

I was hoping there would be something similar to Ents24 (alerts you once a gig/tour is announced for subscribed artists).

I usually rely these forums, the iTunes home page or a site like Popjustice. Sometimes I'll Google to see if I can find anything elsewhere online. Wikipedia is not always reliable

All the latest releases from the most popular artists in the world can be found here: http://atrl.net/music/
From there you get to know everything weeks/months before the stuff actually gets released.

Funny thing is, I actually found out about David Bowies new album, The Next Day, on a Prince site, which I regularly go on every day!!!
