Miley Cyrus is still very much in the media, especially with the whole hair incident but she's making an album I believe so upon release we'll see what she's made of. Selena Gomez I haven't heard much of recently other than the Justin Bieber issues but Demi probably had the best 2012 down to her role on X Factor and her song Give Your Heart A Break did well in the US.

I'd say Demi but neither Demi or Miley want to be regarded as 'the disney girls' particularly Miley who seems to be digressing from the whole teen pop friendly music route.

They weren't really a product of Disney. They did the Mickey mouse show for a year or two, but other than that, Britney and Christina were on the verge of being discovered without Disney. Disney just gave them a little boost.

Miley stepped off being Disney altogether since Party in the USA/Can't Be Tamed era. She was the Queen of Disney prior to that though. You can tell she couldn't be stuffed with Hannah Montana anymore when the series reached its final episodes. Demi and Selena were both insanely popular afterwards, but Selena always had the upper hand when it came to the ratings and fanbase with Wizards (how I know this is still a mystery ). Sonny With a Chance was popular as well.

I'd say that Selena stuck with holding the crown while Demi transitioned away from Disney with the Unbroken (Skyscraper) era.

Raven. Obviously. Her show was the longest running show in Disney Channel history. She was also on Kim Possible, and a bunch of other Disney shows. She is the only one to be able to use Disney to her advantage. Let's not forget she dropped the Cheeta Girls like a sack of hot potatoes and none of them ever went anywhere in their career without her. Everyone knows she's a lesbian and it isn't a big deal. Imagine if any of the other Disney girls came out. It'd be mayhem. The rest are still seen as Disney Stars and anything they do in life will be judged with regards to the Disney image. Same goes for Nick Girls.

They've all moved away from it now. But Selena has certainly done it more smoothly than Demi (breakdown, drugs and rehab) or Miley (Can't Be Tamed era) or Vanessa Hudgens before them (those pictures!). They're all going their own ways as well. Demi seems to want to do music (rightly so, she's a far better singer than she is an actress). Selena seems to want to do acting more than music (again, rightly so). Miley wanted to do acting but it didn't go so well so now she's back trying music with a new label!

None of them have fully completed the transition. Demi remains more famous for her issues. Selena had the highest profile in 2012 but that owes much to her relationship with Justin Bieber. And Miley's personal life also dominates and she doesn't really have a secure foundation in either music or movies at the moment.

It's really difficult to move from Disney to "proper" work. I'm not too convinced by Selena's upcoming film, for instance. And getting the right songs or the right scripts is absolutely essential as it is for anyone in those industries. The Disney fame will only hang around for so long.

And the correct title would surely be Disney Princess? They're too young to be Queen! I guess that is, as someone said, Minnie Mouse.

Well tbh in terms of Disney Channel TV Shows it's Raven but in terms of Music I would probably be Miley.

Hilary Duff pretty much started the disney-girl-gone-singer thing, so I'll go with her. Then Raven just because she's funny. Then Miley because Hannah Montana was actually quite a good show back in the day.

Hmm. I liked Demi's song Skyscraper, but here in the UK are she or Selena Gomez really that relevant outside of their existing fanbases? I don't think I'd have even heard of either of them if it wasn't for the internet.

Selena has the Bieber factor yes but still I don't even think their relationship is very high-profile outside of their core audience. Certainly not on the scale that Spears/Timberlake was, which is probably one of the best comparisons in recent times.

So yeah, in conclusion I don't know, it's not really my thing. But definitely not Demi or Selena.
