I try my best to forget their first album ever existed. It's rather poor

But the writing's on the wall is for me one of the best albums ever from a girlband and in general is a flawless R&B classic.

The first album had a few decent tracks on there but overall it was a bit boring. I still love second nature though.

I actually thought their debut was their 2nd best. I preferred them as a four piece as they seemed to forget how to make an album when Michelle joined.

With Me actually had some decent remixes on the uk CD release that were done by a British production group called Full Crew. One was a more pop-sounding version and the other had a much harder hip hop beat. Both mixes were much better than the two versions on the album. The 'pop' version is on YouTube:

The answer is yes, I can believe it and I don't particularly care for that matter. That said, their first album did have some really good tracks. 'With Me' and both versions of 'No No No' are some of the very few Destiny's Child songs that I still listen to pleasantly.

Time has flown. Was the first album one where there is a video with all four girls hanging around an apartment block where Wyclef Jean is featured? I think the album The Writing's on the Wall is where I first became aware of them. I think they became big in the UK when Say My Name was released. just think it is nearly 10 years since Crazy in Love came out.

I couldn't really care either way about the age of their first album, I'm not a fan and couldn't even tell you what it's called.

I'm more in shock at the fact Crazy in Love is 10 years old. Now that is scary I am finding that a lot of the early 00's songs have really stood the test of time. CIL sounds as new today as it did back in 2003.

Agreed The Writing's On The Wall is a modern classic its a seamless flawless slice of late 90's R&B and still stands as one of Beyonce's best.

Yep, the fact that this year it's a whole decade since Crazy In Love was released is a weird thought! It certainly doesn't feel that long ago and yep it's really stood the test of time.

I do agree that a lot of songs from that era have held up pretty well, certainly far better than I imagine many recent big hits will in years to come.
