The BBC posted this on their Twitter just over an hour ago... then took it down within seconds.

They've gotten into a habit of posting tweets about the 50th and deleting them very shortly afterwards in the past few months.

I would say that the trailer was probably airing on TV again - but it was in the middle of a show.

Tomorrow night maybe?

I think they will want to run the 50 Years trailer across another weekend. But, it's a month to go now, so who knows.

It's going around on a few Doctor Who Tumblr blogs that our lovely Lis Sladen will briefly appear in The Day of the Doctor, using some unused and edited footage from a SJA: Series 5 story, Meet Mr. Smith. It's also being suggested that The Brigadier will have a phone call with The Doctor at some point in episode and we'll hear his voice.

Not too assured, as it's only Tumblr, but then the same people uploaded the poster for The Day of the Doctor before anyone on DS or GB seemed to be aware of it, so?

I really hope this is true now, especially the one about Lis. She'll be sorely missed if she's not in there somehow.

I'm doubting the source now (still I made sure not to get my hopes up)... turns out not too many weeks back they were trying to post fake posters of Rose for the special and were assuring their authenticity.

I guess we can still hope for something. But then do we even know if they'd started filming a fourth story of Series 5 of SJA? I know we got three stories completed, but was there actually anything done on a fourth that just wasn't salvageable enough for broadcast?

According to Wikipedia it never went into production.

I can imagine there is green-screen footage of Lis Sladen that could be used - however, I doubt that it's from un unfinished SJA. The break in production was very clear with S5.

That does make me wonder though... Everyone who's done NuWho in the past would have done green-screen work; imagine what might be possible in terms of cameos without using the actors?

9th does make sense because the time will be confirmed on the 8th, since the schedules are starting to come out earlier ready for Christmas.

Since we have the current trailer I think two weeks of a trailer with footage is enough, but I'm sure many would disagree. That said I think the 2nd is just as likely.
