Well, if RoS is out, that only leaves TWO episodes which could potentially be in the hands of the instigator that haven't been put into the wild yet.

Not the end of the world, considering the scripts leaked weeks and weeks ago. There would be reason to be worried if Episodes 6-12 leaked however.

I thought the first five episodes were all leaked the same time the scripts were.

Someone must have got hold of them then and is releasing them one at a time.

If that is the case there isn't an ongoing leak just someone who acquired them all in one go and is drip feeding their release.

Presumably a single person with fast enough broadband found the server early enough in the day to be able to grab everything. By the time the news became widespread the files were pulled. The scripts, being PDF files, are small enough files that enough people got them easily. The videos are much bigger, being a couple of gigabytes on average each, so it's also feasible hundreds of people may have been in the process of grabbing these files when the files were pulled, thereby forcibly terminating the downloads.

I think it's possible actually. I wouldn't be surprised to be honest.

Nice interview with Jenna

EDIT: Sorrry, I hadnt finished reading it, it reveals a lot, small things but things I had avoided knowing before the season start.

Yeah, it's a pretty revealing interview.

I was watching interviews with the actors on YouTube and came across several spoiler-y thumbnails for videos on the right hand side. Just a warning if you're avoiding the leaked footage.

“Normally when you read a script, at this point, the Doctor would embrace the scene, or dance, or run around the console. Actually, there were times, especially in the early days, when Peter would say, "No, I’m going to just stand here." It is that thing of instead of going to the room, the room is going to come to him. I feel like he was really bold and brave, and he made those changes, and him doing it his way.”

It's not that often I get so excited about a television show slowing down.

Nice sentiment, but warning about spoilers in a thread those who don't want to see spoilers won't come into isn't perhaps the best plan

Good point

That said, I think there has been a mutual understanding not to delve in to Deep Breath's spoilers, even here... so it's a valid warning all the same.

If after 170+ pages of this thread I can go to the screening and still be surprised... I think that warrants some respect

I wonder if Peter Capaldi Doctor in his role, will be talking a little slower because sometimes that helps as a characterisation, as previously he has been in roles where it was all about talking, shouting quickly. Also talking slower means you get to finish your point unless someone is walking away quicker, then some words unfortunately, just fade away.

A line from 12 made very popular by Robin Williams got a lovely audience response at the Sydney premiere on the day Williams passed, I'm told.

Only 7 more days to go...

I've got a feeling that Capaldi is going to do the impossible and nail his Doctor in the first story. It took a long time for Matt to do it (for me I finally got his 'Doctor' in The Rings Of Akhaten with that splendid speech - after all we are individual fans).

Roll on Doctor 14!! Yes I know...

Still Doctor 12 for me, but I get your point, Airborae.

Blimey, only a week to go now.

Same here Airborae
It took me a few episodes to get used to Matt but once I did really grew to love his portrayal of The Doctor. It took me longer to get used to David but again I grew to love his Doctor too. In fact, I've loved them all as each brings a different character (Tom Baker was 'my' Doctor btw).

As for Capaldi, I have loved all his previous work. I think he is a fantastic actor, with such on screen charisma IMO. He also seems to be such a gracious and lovely chap. I am very excited for him and Doctor Who and really hope he does brilliantly. Can you tell I quite like him?

1 week...!

I watched Into the Dalek yesterday, and much like Deep Breath, the darkness intensifies.

Spoiler
When the Doctor gives Ross the pill that causes the antibodies in the Dalek to kill him quicker so that the Doctor can save himself, Clara and the others makes you question the Doctor a lot.

Only thing I want to know from the leak is...

....does anybody actually get exterminated with the actual Dalek gun? That would be nice to see... it has been a while....

I didn't want to start a thread so hoped CD93 and others could clarify. I'm having a debate with someone who is complaining that the DW world tour is wasting money that could be spent on another episode or to bring back Confidential. I know this isn't the case. Isn't it entirely separate as a revenue stream and a commercial enterprise? As such its not a case of simply reallocating money into the main show?

From a source I would prefer not to discuss...

Spoiler
Yes. Apparently there are a couple of exterminations.

It's a BBC Worldwide event - no money would go back to the show.

The Mirror reporting that Jenna will be leaving in the Christmas Episode.

Nothing concrete in the article but I have a feeling their speculation may turn out to be right this time.

Meh.

That article is nothing but speculation. That 'source' could have been lifted from a fan board from all the actual detail in it. And they got her name wrong

She might go at Christmas if not I'd expect series 9 to be her last but the very vague 'we feel Christmas could be the right time' stuff isn't exactly concrete here! After all, according to their source apparently she'll be one of the longest standing companions ever when she leaves this Christmas. Not sure what they're measuring that against!
