The 15th Doctor posted them before The Bells of Saint John aired, and just reposted them to remind speculators what he knew

Can you check if there were any recent non-spoiler posts that could have got The Doctors Trainers banned?

Maybe some new stuff with Matt and Jenna as a framing device for the clips. You know. Clara saying 'youre so old Doctor but you never speak about the past...'

cue some reminiscences?

Could be a bit cheesy but fun and definitely not canon.

Didn't he get banned because of the John Hurt thing? I'm not too sure about how to look this sort of stuff but I'll have a poke around and see what I find.

I did, his last 14 listed posts were all about John Hurt in part 49 of the spoiler thread.

Any of them rude? (The official reason Steve's apparently giving to those asking)

As far as I can tell from his profile, this was his last post before being banned...

None of them rude at all, AFAIK.

One of them "confirming" the nJohn Hurt thing then bigging his source up as the same one who gave him the sybopsis for Stolen Earth early when questioned about it.

Oh yes, don't know if it's been mentioned, but Moffat gave an interview stating that some long running story arcs that we know about (and some that we don't!) will be resolved in the finale. Given the appearance of the crack in Journey and depending on its context, we'll hopefully see some resolution to the Silence/ Tardis explosion plot line

You could always decamp to the Planet Mondas forums and ask him yourself, it's become kind of like a GB refugee camp in the last couple of weeks

What?!?! I must have missed this... Where's that come from?

I always miss the good things... Well, until they're actually aired, that is!

It's seemingly in the wallpaper/photoshop/header image for the episode. Right down the middle.

A lot of us do seem to have received bans.

Are you familiar with "NotTheDoctor" over there?

I'm still pretty new there so I don't know if he's yanking the chain or not, but here's what he posted:

Spoiler
An acquaintance at my Sixth Form in central Bristol told me her mother's friend who works at the BBC (Wales, presumably) has been at the screen tests currently taking place for the role of the 12th Doctor. Of course, take this with a pinch of salt (as I am), but I thought it was interesting enough to share with you lovely folk!

Spoiler
Surely it's only the high ups who attend screen tests and they wouldn't be the sort of numpties to tell friends who then spread that news to their children?

Don't recognise it, but given the amount of people between the poster and the person apparently present I'd take it with a few tonnes of salt.

I'm still 50/50 on that. We know Moffat has pitched ideas for the next series to Matt and he says they're great (and sad which is what made me initially think that a regen would be there). I'm not completely convinced the BBC would want a inevitably sad regen episode to go out in the family slot on Christmas day. Tennant's after all went out at new year.

But there again it does rather make sense to start fresh with series 8 so...

Obviously what's making everyone highly suspicious is the fact that Matt hasn't said he's staying whereas Jenna has announced her involvement. I suspect that even if he IS back when he was last asked there were new contract negotiations still to be done and therefore he couldn't say anything. Jenna probably signed at least a two year contract to start with.

Surely series 8 will start filming after they've done the Christmas special (which purposely has been scheduled to accommodate Matt's film)? So if there's a new Doctor coming we'll know by September.

I somehow feel we'll get a better departure for Matt if they could do it during series 8. Just feels like there could be a bit more build up if they do it over half a series-ish.

Although screen testing in the middle of filming the 50th would be utterly bizarre tbh! They have plenty of time after (and if they wanted the guy in the 50th they would've cast long ago and not rush it!)

Matt Smith and Jenna wil be with us for series 8 most definitely....i mean look...first of all Matt said ....or it was announced Matt had a contract for three years (2010, 2011, 2012) and the option to sign a further two years (2013, 2014) so i think we that we can say that he definitely will be with us for series 8 no?? Plus i dont see the point in wasting the chemistry that is Matt and Jenna either on just 10 episodes, the 50th and the Christmas Special this year either :/ I reckon series 8 will definitely be 11/CLara heavy and will see us heading into a new direction too

Well series 8 has been greenlit and Jenna's signed up but he's still saying he's taking it year by year and not thinking past 2013, despite the fact that series 8 will film into and air in 2014. So it appears more likely than not.

As I said, Jenna will have signed a 2 or 3 year contract so there was no question mark over her. If series 8 films straight after the Christmas special and that is within Matt's contract period still as far as we know.

I think it's just a question of negotiations tbh which is why he could say nothing back in March - he may have decided to move on by now, he may have decided to do part or all of series 8. There's no real need to make a final decision until Steven has to start writing the Christmas special and that's not going to happen whilst he's still working on the 50th. I just don't see the lack of announcement as an indication that he definitely won't go beyond Christmas simply because these things take a long time to hash out and make official.

I don't think we've had much official announcement at all about series 8 actually have we?

I doubt they're screen testing 12th Doctor's right now (even if Matt is going) simply because they're rather busy with the 50th and supposedly this info came from a BBC Exec with a rather large mouth which is very unlikely!

There is nothing definite about Matt for Series 8 yet. We know Moffat has pitched his ideas for Series 8 to him but as of yet Matt is signed on for the 50th and Christmas. After that who knows. When his original three year deal ran out he signed on again on a year by year basis. He said as much himself when he said he was taking the job a year at a time.

So he could be in series 8 or he could be off at Christmas. I think he'll be off at Christmas though, he's getting itchy feet already. He's incredibly excited about his first American job too.

It is looking likely we're drawing to the end of the 11th Doctor in some ways, doesn't it?

True. They are working around that for him. I would definitely not seeing him staying beyond series 8 - he could basically use that series to keep his name out there as such until his film comes up.

Basically I think I'd be equally unsruprised if he said he was leaving at Christmas or doing half of series 8. I'd be a little bit more surprised if he said he was doing the whole of 8 and rather gob smacked if he committed to any more than that.
