That's come direct from the set. I'd been waiting for someone else to say something before mentioning it, but it seems to have slipped under the radar.

In Doctor Who Series 6 Episode 11 The God Complex, Joe (the first captive "guest" to be sacrificed) refers to the line "Here comes a candle to light you to bed, Here comes a chopper to chop off your head. Chop chop chop chop"

From the BBC

Perhaps the most sinister lyric is “pokers and tongs” at St John’s Chapel in the Tower of London. This may well be a reference to the hideous forms of torture that took place in that building.

(Somewhere on the internet Sophie Oohies head goes bang )”

Oh. I thought Saint John might be John Smith - the Doctor's alias. But thanks for the info.

Just to add to what I posted earlier. I understand that the Sontarens will be popping up in Mark Gatiss's episode, the Cromson Horror. Episode 6.

@davrosdodebird, if you PM me an email address, I'll fill you in on my source. I've got to be a little careful about dropping people in it.

I get a feeling that the Daleks might be in the final episode.

I agree.

Besides the finale seems to have both a new monster and the Great Intelligence/Simeon, given that Richard E. Grant has been confirmed for the second half of Series 7.

Reckon they and the silence will be pretty ticked off when they realise the doctor tricked them into forgetting him.

I think that if the Daleks are used very lightly in the final it will be ok. Like if the Asylum has to be revisited I'd love to see a few really insane Daleks. Ones that are just firing against the wall and screaming Daleks. That would be good.

Seriously? I do hope so, I loved him in The Snowmen!

Can't recall hearing that he was offically confirmed for 7B.

He was seen on set after they had supposedly finished filming the Christmas Special but since they were apparently filming three different episodes on that day he may just have been doing pick up shots for the Special.

Maybe Shawn has further info though.

Just based on the report of him being onset as far as I'm aware, there's been no official word on the matter.

Actually the BBC press release for the second half of Series 7 has Richard E. Grant down as a guest star.

Just four weeks to go...

Do we dare call this an anniversary season?

DWM have it down as the 2013/anniversary series. For me, for the time being, it's the second half of Series 7

I don't even know what to call it now. I used to think S7 B but considering the change of Tardis, companion, title sequence and a brand new arc plus the fact that it apparently leads into the anniversary special...its hard to think of it as part of the same series 7. Every previous season has felt self contained to degree or another. The Ponds final episodes now feel more like specials.

I get that, but for me, it's all Series 7, given that Clara was technically introduced in both Asylum Of The Daleks and The Snowmen before her modern version properly shows up in The Bells Of St John.

AGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!
JDNDIXJFNDIDNRJDND?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sorry. Just watching BBC 1 and the DW logo flashed up with the theme playing and Saturday 30th March. It all suddenly seems very real and very close again with some actual proper on screen promo.

A new series of DW. There is nothing like it is there?
