How nice someone not assasinating the poor lad ..as i said earlier he is not cocky and arrogant ..just trying his best and who wouldnt want to win ..Beth has an extreme desire to win it is in her olympic persona ..so why is she not called out ? you don't like him ..you don't know him .and he is a good skater and entertainer

Why is it necessary for those who disagree with you to 'get a grip.'
I'm pleased for your son that he has received support from Matt but that doesn't remove the air of desperation from him. No such desperation from Beth - she's the most successful British gymnast ever as opposed to Matt an unemployed actor.
That might seem harsh but it's true - so take your own advice - get a grip.

saying someone comes across as cocky/arrogant is no more an assassination on someone's character as you saying someone is desperate and has no personality
just because you "know" him on twitter doesn't mean that those who think differently about him from how they've seen him act/react on the show, need to "get a grip"

I didnt get to see it on Sunday nite and I thought going by some of the comments here he must have murdered someone!!!
Watched it last nite and yes he did come across as immature in the training programme, but I put this down more to frustration and not having the patience to listen. But aren't a lot of young men like that as that age.
I thought the rountine was very good and also at the end he did admit that Chris and Jayne were right and how much his partner had helped. To me he did sound very humble and was grateful for the help and patience they had given him.

Yes ..I cannot believe starting a thread about how we dislike someone? He is frustrated as is Beth or any one when they make mistakes .He is the only one who thanks people and is not cocky def not arrogant .Yes 22 ! most young men are over competitive at times ..Luke is younger i think and finds it hard to not say any thing ..Matt has never answered back

oh dear ..not arguing about this ..They are all Desperate to win lol so they should be it is a competion..Desperate is not an Insult ..staring a thread on Specifically Not liking them ..is .well as I said Nasty .Beth is an Olympian and very good, like Matt is good too .

And you've answered your own question there - Matt feels he needs to top the leaderboard to protect himself in the public vote. Unlike the others, he's got evidence that that's probably true.

See, this is where we differ - I didn't connect Matt's tears with simply being in the SO, I thought he was upset because he'd underperformed and felt guilty that he'd messed up, and upset that his mate had been knocked out even though he'd messed up.
He certainly wouldn't be the first person upset by underperforming when it mattered. Seb Foucan in the last series was practically catatonic after screwing up his SO, and you only had to watch last season's SCD for tears of a similar sort from Victoria Pendleton.

Differing opinions are one thing. Stating two contradictory opinions in the same post, one of which is essentially based on twisting a person's words because you don't like that person, is another, and I don't see a problem with calling attention to inconsistencies and what I see as manipulation of words to suit your own version of events.

What Luke said on Sunday about the Spread Eagle was childish and daft ... he does come over as a bit petulant and it's doing him no favours

The judges have been answered back before - Roxanne did with Jason (something about dentists and teeth ) and Frankie let it be known if she thought the scores weren't high enough
