Khloe Kardashian Out; Cheryl Cole In?
Not sure how credible this is, but...
Khloe X’d Ax ‘Factor’ falls on Kardashian host ‘The X Factor” won’t be keeping up with Khloe Kardashian anymore. The towering reality star has not been asked to return as co-host of the high-profile Fox singing competition, sources tell The Post. “They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe,” an insider confirms. Kardashian, 28, came to the show with no television hosting experience and often appeared nervous and unprepared on camera. “But at the end of the day, when she doesn’t know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it? “It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her,” she said. “It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable.” Kardashian’s exit follows the departure last month of judge Britney Spears — who received lukewarm reviews at best during her debut last season. ..................... Meanwhile, Brit singer Cheryl Cole, who was unceremoniously dumped as a judge last year, is in talks to return to the show — possibly as part of a judging panel that would be comprised of Cowell and three younger women. Cole — who was a judge on the U.K. version of “X Factor” — filed a $2.3 million lawsuit against the show last December, claiming the show still owed her money after replacing her just a few weeks into the first season. Her return could be part of a settlement. Cowell says he regretted letting Cole go last year. “I had to apologize for the way it was handled,” he told reporters later. http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainmen...O6CPlNnIgrFoVL |

Not again. Cheryl is past this... She may however make an appearance at judges houses but not on the US version.

Didn't Simon love Khloe?
And Cheryl is never going to return to the show, especially the version that she's suing. |

I want her to stay too. I far preferred her to Mario Lopez.

I don't think they will want her back to be honest, not now she is suing htem, but it would be interesting dynamics between her and Simon.
However, she said she was asked back for season 2, which would make sense as she apparently had a contract which meant she got paid whether she appeared or not, so perhaps they could be trying to get her back again to save them paying her for nothing still. As for Khloe I only watched the first few lives show before losing interest, but she didn't seem that bad, I thought Mario was crap for a professional to be honest. |

I want Khloe back. She wasn't the best presenter in the world but at least she showed some personality, unlike Mario who I couldn't take to at all.

I remember Cheryl and Girls Aloud being on Graham Norton late last year and when asked Cheryl said something like "no not doing X Factor UK next year"
It did make me think, why say X Factor UK & not just X Factor in general. I'm probably reading into it a bit too much, but it wouldn't suprise me, especially as the GA comeback hasn't been the hit everyone thought it would be. What else has she got? She would go back to the US version in a heartbeat. |

Why would she host the show? She's a good judge but no presenter

I don't think Cheryl will ever return to the UK judging panel. That era of her life is now over. Cheryl sees returning to X Factor as a failure now as she was axed from X Factor USA.
If her return came in a settlement I think she would easily return. I think Cheryl would be fantastic. |

I liked Khloe in the same way I liked Konnie from Xtra Factor... trainwrecks, but fun/funny to watch...
why does everything have to be so serious? as if this show is God's gift to man..... Also, I don't like the fact that Simon picks people like Cheryl, Britney, Khloe... and then leaves them to fall apart. If he saw potential in them, he should have helped guide them and brought out the best in them that he envisioned.... leaving them to self-destruct hurts them (which is wrong given that in all these cases, HE is the one who wanted them) and also increasingly makes him look crazy (since he keeps "making mistakes" with judges) and finally will prevent people from wanting to work with him (since he loves firing people).... |

I'd be happy with Cheryl on X Factor USA having had time to think about it, I'd watch it.

I want Khloe to stay, she seemed pretty good last year but I would also like Cheryl to be on the panel. In the two episodes she did, she did well and fitted in with the panel. The producers' reasons were stupid. I doubt she would go back though

I think someone else should take charge of the casting from now on because I don't think Simon has a clue anymore. He's been lucky in the past (particularly on the UK shows) but I think he's lost sight on what makes good TV. I'm not sure trying to manipulate car crash TV (whether it's in his choice of judges/hosts) works. |

There really is a dire shortage of presenters for this kind of thing. They don't do spin-off shows to the same extent and they don't have a backlog of presenters who learned their trade on Saturday mornings (something the UK will miss!).
Tbh I'd keep Khloe. I thought she was poor - extremely wooden. And Mario wasn't any better. But they just can't keep firing people at this rate. American Idol is in the same boat. They went 8 years without a judge leaving. Since 2010 they've lost or fired Paula, Kara, Ellen, Simon, J'Lo and Steven Tyler. And now they're sitting on a panel that costs more than it did in the peak years but is delivering half the ratings and sliding week by week. That's ominious for X Factor too. The big decline for Idol didn't help it last year so there's no reason to think people are switching. The next big question is where will The Voice rate when it returns? NBC have managed to keep it off the air for a while so the two cycles aren't back to back and that might help. It's clear stunt casting - whether Paula, Britney or Nicki Minaj - just isn't delivering ratings. So what Cowell needs to do is pick people he trusts and knows will deliver on screen, even if they don't generate tabloid buzz. People that he can work with not just for one year but ideally a few years if they can keep the show going. He also needs some kind of baseball players strike but alas that won't happen and FOX will kill off another fall schedule because of it. |
