This whole thing is very strange indeed...!

All of a sudden you have people coming out of the woodwork to say how much they love Cheryl and want to see her back on the show... the guy from Twilight, Ne-Yo, etc....

No denials from Cheryl this time... It would be the ultimate comeback if she were to return to the show and be awesome... because as it is now, people will always talk about how she was fired, didn't make it in the U.S., etc.... so coming back to where she was fired and shining like she should would be the perfect way to correct for the crazy hair and clothes, and general despair during her "misses Ashley" time which translated to the auditions apparently and led to reports of her being hold up in her room eating biscuits.

Of course, this could all be false rumors again, but I don't know, the fact that it's been picked up all over the place with no denials...?

It would be weird, I can't imagine what she would feel like sitting on the panel again, one where she would be sitting next to a man who fired her and publicly humiliated her and how she would deal with the pressure of trying to impress, especially now she knows she was fired before because of how bland, boring and uncomfortable she appeared.

the stories at the time were hilarious. my favourite was the story about paula offering her `healing crystals` to offset cheryl`s `negative energy`. i do find it odd that there have been no denials yet, perhaps her spokesperson is having a week off.

Yet the day after these reports Cheryl was actively commenting on twitter about the magazine which apologized for spreading lies about her...

My take on the situation, if this is true, is that Simon is going back to basics, in part because the show may be hanging by a thread and he is in no position to be spending big bucks on "stars" when having the biggest pop star fizzled out... but also because maybe he realizes the error of his ways. Bringing X Factor to America was about capturing magic of X Factor UK Season 7 in America! Simon+Cheryl was part of that show's success. There was a reason he wanted her in the first place, so maybe he's considering again now that his plans failed, and maybe's she's considering in light of the redemption storyline........

Cheryl will be fine either way... I don't think success in the U.S. is her lifetime goal or anything.

Or it could just be all about money, court cases (which i'm sure would cost her a fortune to fight) and publicity (for the show, just as much as her). I dont think they ever had it right in america and probably never will - the series started too late in the day over there, they should have done it years back

I can't see her being that great a judge

yes, but that particular lawsuit has now been settled, while the suit with `blue orbit` isn't and she may just have to suck up these rumours for now. the x factor thrives on speculation in the media on who will be on the show and cheryl`s camp is usually the first to shoot down the inevitable rumours. however, her silence may just be down to what she cant say just yet, not until this suit is done with.

i know she said in her book before this legal action that she was not willing to return to the us show and i cant really see what would change her mind now. some people may suggest she is down on her luck and her diary is empty after the girls aloud tour. however, she stands to make a good payday off the back of that tour and before that she was busy with her own tour/album promotion. its possible she may just rest after this tour.

i do agree with you in terms of her us ambitions. personally, i don't think she cares that much about us success either.

And Ne-Yo has admitted he's in talks to be on XFUSA, hasn't he? He's one of the front-runners to replace LA Reid (apparently)

And these types of stories ('Cheryl will be great on XFUSA') where circulating to create buzz around her appearance the first time.

I think it's looking increasingly likely she will be back on the show. People thought those Britney rumours which started this time last year were false but it turned out to be true.

Good luck to her. Personally, I don't think XFUSA will ever be a big success but she'd only need to do one year on it and it would be enough to start a solo career over there (I can't imagine her launching her solo career any other way to be honest).
