Lamb got my vote but beef was just a flip of a coin behind!

Lot of love for lamb here! Quote:
I don't eat lamb out of principle and luckily my bf doesn't like it that much either.

Beef for me although I'll happily have any of the others except gammon I prefer that just boiled with mash and parsley sauce not as a roast.

We don't get it very often because it's so expensive but I love a roast leg of lamb, but it's usually a chicken

I've never thought of gammon as a Sunday roast. How would you serve it and what with?

You just serve it with roasties, veg and gravy, same as any other roast. Is it that strange a concept?!? ![]()

Wow. Really surprised lamb is in the lead.
Whilst I don't mind the taste of it, the smell of it cooking makes me wanna vom. Pork every time for me. My butcher sells lovely rare breed pork which is amazing. Best crackling ever. |

Personally, I roast my gammon joints. I know some prefer to boil it instead, but I never have enough hob space to do that!

Well after the absolutely amazing roast beef I cooked yesterday (even if I do say so myself!) I'm thinking I've changed my mind! ![]() God it was absolutely perfect - still pink and tender in the middle. I'd gone off cooking beef a bit as last few times I've done it we've had my wife's parents round who will only eat beef if it's really well done - yeuch. But yesterday's was medium-rare, and absolutely delicious! Quote:
No, it's just not something I've ever considered but I'm not a big fan of gammon anyway. What kind of gravy do you have?
