PlayBook and this site
Anyone else uses a PB to access this site noticed you sometimes get some random audio start up?
Had it just now, also used to get it with Tweetdeck installed. Really weird. |

My GF has a playbook and she sometimes gets some blokes talking in the background when she's on DS, it sounds like a boyband, possibly The Wanted.
It really annoys her.

Yes the guys talking are on my Playbook when ever I go to the DS site. Do not seem to get it on any other sites. I wonder where it is coming from is it a virus? I do not get any adverts on the DS site on the Playbook signed in or not! I just turn the volume down.

This happened on mine too. What I did was, when in ds I pulled down the screen from the top, clicked the settings tab(the browser settings) then on the privacy& security tab I cleared the history, cache, cookies and local storage. That seemed to do the trick

The DS website has the most intrusive advertising of any website i've used.

I'd never considered running a different browser on the Playbook, but I'm starting to prefer Firefox on my N7 (Chrome really isn't a good browser on the Nexus).
I'll find the relevant .apk and sideload it tonight, could be handy having two browsers side-by-side. |
