i'd recommend google so you can look up the features exclusive to each console and if you still can't choose then the answer is probably neither or both (when you have the money)

It's really down to personal tastes. Both have good games...but it has to be said that the 3DS is a much safer bet in regards to future software support.

Most games for the systems are coming from Japan and the 3DS is outselling everything by a wide margin at present so will certainly be favoured for software going forward.

The 3DSXL (not the original) would get my vote ... Mario Kart just can't be beat & with animal crossing / Luigi's mansion on the horizon there's never been a better time 2 pick 1 up!

I would hold off making a decision for a few days, the PS Vita has had a shocking time and the amount of AAA titles is none existent. However I have a feeling (maybe hoping) that loads of games are being help back because they are going to have cross play with the PS4 which will be announced tonight.. Itís a great bit of kit and deserves to do well.

Thereís also a chance it will get a small price drop over the next few days like they just got in Japan.

Vita is better in hardware terms, but the 3DS has a much bigger collection of games for it. By a large margin as well.

Sadly the entire PSP range from the get go has had pretty bad support for games. But if there are enough titles you like on it, go for it.

when it comes to software support there is only one winner. 3DS has strong nintendo support and has japanese 3rd parties on board.

Western 3rd party support is and will continue to be be poor for both consoles as publishers are done with handhelds in the west.

I think the Vita will come into it's own once the PS4 launches. The possibility of playing PS4 games streamed directly onto your Vita is an exciting one.

I own a Vita, having bought one recently to take advantage of the PS+ service, which has gained me LOADS of games for 'free' (once you look past subscription cost).

Anybody who says there aren't enough games for the Vita clearly doesn't know how many games are currently available. I have a 32gb and 8gb cards, both of which are full.

Anyone interested in pinball and/or Star Wars will interested to know three Star Wars tables are to be released next week for Zen Pinball 2, with another eight in the pipeline. I'm currently addicted to the Captain America table but will be dropping this for the SW tables as soon as they hit

So, yeah, Vita for me.

I'm going to say 3DS. you get the inventiveness and range of mobile with the confidence and depth of AAA.

i think the main benefit of the psvita is playstation+ ... spend 30 quid & never buy another game again ... which means the machine pays for itself.

UC:GA is really good

Unit 13 is great fun, and ideal for a quick game

My boys spend hours on LBP Vita

I have downloaded Killzone Liberation PSP game onto mine as the PSP nub was horrible

The Vita is great, beautiful screen and the gameplay on all the games we have is superb. Just ordered Sly Cooper for it!

It depends what you want and personal preference of course, but if a wide variety of great looking games with a console-emulating control system appeals then go for the Vita.

If you want squinty headache inducing 3D and Mario and Zelda games then go for the 3DS.

The Vita needs a price cut, game wise, anyone with a PS3 on PlayStation Plus now has all the main games, hell, I have Seven Vita games that I wanted given to me over PlayStation Plus, but the hardware is still past that £200 mark (for the console and a decent sized memory card).

The device has potential, and the PS4 stuff might help that a little bit, but still, there's just not many people willing to spend £150+ on a handheld device.

the Vitas a nice bit of hardware, but the 3DS is where the games are, games with challenge and not just fancy graphics

If there's anything on 3DS with gameplay as original as Gravity Rush I'll lick my cats nose.

We have both, and the 3d on the 3ds is a complete gimmick. after a few games it made the kids eyes ache so it's now permanently off. Both machines cost the same when we got them. Other than Mario kart and super Mario land, the kids don't go near the 3ds anymore. However, they love the vita. The screen is superb, dual analogues, touch screen front and back ouzes quality. With games like Lbp, fifa 13, assassins creed, uncharted and cod have kept them glued. We bought virtual tennis for £5.99 brand new the other day so that's the new game currently being played to death. Hopefully the vita won't be hacked as that's what killed the Psp.

Vita gets our vote, maybe a price drop is what's needed to kickstart the vita and one or two more killer games.

The Vita boat has sailed over the waterfall if you ask me.
It's a pity because it could have been good.

The global sales for week ending 9th Feb ...
Nintendo 3DS .. 189,167
Sony PS Vita .. 24,360
