What do you guys think about the whole "Emma replacing Brian" rumour? I for one hope it's true. Emma is much better than Brian.
I think Brian should stay with the main show - he's much better now than when he first started, and Emma gets on my nerves!!

I think the spin off show suits Emma better - even though it's 99% rubbish - and I#d be happy for her to carry on with that. I don't like Alice either, wouldn't be keen on her playing a bigger role!

Oh. I had forgotten about Alice. Is she expected to step into Emma's role? What about Jamie East? I thought he improved hugely last series.

Unfortunately if Emma hosts the main show then who does the BBots show? The idea that it would be Alice and Jamie is awful

Or even worse, the bloke who bores us at the end of the show reading tweets and forum posts.

I hope Emma replaces Brian, i believe Emma will be much better at presenting the main show, don't want Brian involved at all.

But bearing in the mind the other work she does, dont you think the job she has now is the "better" one?

Maybe Emma could do both, the programs aren't on at the same time.

I don't really want Brian, Jamie is dreadful, the others are OK.

Brian never did replace Davina, and i didn't really like her doing it.

I am happy with anyone who isn't Davina. Only personal taste, but I didn't like her on the show.
She presented both programmes for a while though didnt she? So it is possible Emma could do the same.

I prefer Emma to Brian, would like to see her given the chance to host the main show, though must admit would miss her on BOTS and don't know who could replace her?

I'm not sure, with flavouring I imagine because his mum fed him while she was eating herself.

Fingers crossed no more snow!

Maybe because I posted earlier that I don't listen to the weather forecast north of Manchester??????
I missed the bit about the pot noodle.
My "bad parent" top story is when we took the toddler group to a theme park and one mother left us with her children, copped off with the bus driver, drove off somewhere with him and got plastered and I had to hire another bus (not easy on a sunday night) to get home and she turned up three days later.

I think without better scripts whoever does either job is doomed.

He did improve towards the end but he's not real presenter material, for me.

No I wouldn't favour that combo either!

Emma doesn't have the gravitas for the main show, not for me - although I can see the appeal she has for you

She has 2 young children, both shows would be a massive work load for her - although I guess it's only for 3 months every year.

OMG - I've heard some stories, and I've seen some weird behaviour but that takes the biscuit

I did once visit a family for a preliminary assessment, to tell them what we could offer and find out what their needs might be - she asked me if there was any chance I could take her 3 children 'at weekends, occasionally' as she was depressed! It turned out that she wasn't clinically depressed, but she was fed up that if she couldn't get a sitter, she couldn't party at the weekend.

We sorted a baby sitter for her and arranged some parenting classes, within 6 months she was a different woman.

Our absconder came good in the end too although there were several more hair raising incidents and its a wonder she managed to keep the children. Despite it all she did love them very much and i was delighted to bump into her in the supermarket a few months ago.with one of the (now grown up) children. Most are happy and doing well so it was all worth it.

I must close my ears on the weather forecast when they move north of Manchester because I hadn't heard that the snow was so bad! No wonder all the bulbs and animals are confused As you say, clocks soon to go forward, we'd like to see Spring springing towards us!

I actually know a family where they weaned their 5 month old baby on Pot Noodle The salt content in those alone is enough to cause serious damage at that age.
TBF the majority of weather forecasters (especially the BBC) never mention Scotland's weather.
Hi, I'm new to these kind of threads. Please can someone explain to me what kind of thread this is? Do we talk about Big Brother or just random stuff in general?
Hi, welcome to Lurkers. We chat about BB (more when it's actually screened) & various other topics.
What do you guys think about the whole "Emma replacing Brian" rumour? I for one hope it's true. Emma is much better than Brian.
I hope it isn't! I can't stand Emma, she's a chavina clone. I wish they would let Brian ad lib more instead of forcing him into ill fitting suits & reading from a ridiculous script!
I would prefer Brian to stay. I Think both are competent presenters.
I am not keen on Emma on this show but I like her on other things. I dont understand why you think Emma is better than Brian? Both make mistakes, and both are occasionally brilliant but the roles cannot really be compared.
As I said above Willis is a clone of chavina, her constant assertion that some fauxmance is happening, or is about to happen, is nauseating & bloody insulting. All her squeeeeing & simpering about nothing makes me want to slap her hard!

Morning, again

BB's never been the same since Dermot left. Brian can't read an autocue to save himself and Im pretty sure he chooses to wear those hideous suits himself.....

Waiting for Thai teacher, just checked the 10 day forecast for here....hot, hotter & melt....

Still got snow then SR? I saw widespread warnings for more snow throughout Scotland this morning.....brrrrr

Morning All

I could have sworn that I posted earlier....

Sunny and cold here with a threat of rain, later.
Halla, that is far too hot, especially coupled with the humidity. At least when we have high temps, the air is drier....and to think, you could be happily shovelling snow back at your home in Scotland...not sure which is worse...
