Demographic Information for BBC1 and ITV for Monday 3rd to Sunday 10th March: http://oi49.tinypic.com/245d25g.jpg

1. UCL: Man Utd v Real Madrid: 14.3
And a 53% ABC1 skew, the highest on that ITV list, beating Wossy and Selfridge?

I thought football was for plebs? The 'Prawn sandwich brigade' obviously out in full force.. even in their living rooms!

Thanks rzt for the latest demos. Am I right in thinking the "rating" columns are essentially the percentage of the population watching that given show. If so how some US shows would kill for figures like that considering 2.0 in the 18-49 category is said to be the bench mark. And if we judged ratings on that demo figure they'd be no talk about Dancing on Ice facing the axe - it beats everything on BBC1 and is only better by the football and Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV.

Food, Glorious Food would be a solid hit in the US with a 2.6 rating! And Ant & Dec's 18-49 audience in the UK would actually be enough to get renewed in the US (it'd work out at roughly a 2.3 rating).

I think the last regularly scheduled programme to get a 10.7 rating in the US would be Two and a Half Men's post Sheen premiere (I'm not sure if it quite hit a 10.7, you might have to go even further back to Cowell era American Idol).

Of course this is all meaningless, US TV is very different and far more competitive and fragmented. But it does highlight those differences between the UK and US.

Pointless will probably get the same ratings as Let's Dance got last week (4-5m), but I think SNT will take most of the family audience.

They've put Secret Service back to 2pm, why could they not have shown it at like 8am on CBBC - lack of Saturday morning TV for kids. It shouldn't really be on BBC One never mind primetime.
I thought that meant Secret Service was on at 2.15 AM

Ouch, not one show over 1m viewers and very little with over a 5% share.

With +1 Neighbours at 5.30pm might be over 1 million, but otherwise a very poor day for Channel 5.

Well the afternoon film at least rated very well. And in primetime Police Interceptors was a repeat.

Only disappointment really was Bomb Patrol but at least it picked up viewers through the programme. Word of mouth could help as this was a very good show.

It's Barcelona. Of a big interest to many football fans here. Anyone who thought Barca aren't a draw, especially going in 2-0 down either doesn't watch/understand football or would be knocked out of the first round of Pointless with a score of 200

Not particularly. The Masterchef judges were guests but also they are covering Miranda Hart's Comic Relief challenge. That could be getting them some extra viewers as it's mentioned on the Chris Evans Breakfast show, and there was also a Strictly Come Dancing link to last night's challenge which is always popular...

Just like most sports when there is no UK representation ratings go down. I'd say for that tie 4m is decent.

Disappointing for masterchef to be beaten by foreign football and almost q million worse than last year. Looks like just like Doi/xf/apprentice, people are getting bored of this ageing format and now there is a relatively new kid in town (GBBO) which has made this show less relevant and its no longer must watch tv as it might have been for some people a couple years ago. Tonight it has EE lead in in an easy slot against Food glorious food, so should be getting 5milliom comfortably.

Putting Masterchef up against FGF will only hasten the demise of BOTH shows. Hari Kari by the BBC in the name of denting.

Last nights Masterchef was so boring. I switched off. I love John & Greg, but the format was dull.
GBBO is the complete opposite, it is highly entertaining with wonderful judges and presenters, and it has a real feel good factor.
The only masterchef I enjoy now is the professional one, I might check out the main one again in a few weeks when they whittle down the contestants.

Really? The format is more or less the one "the Fans" have been wanting to return for years, as usual "the Fans" are wrong.

Wow 9m, excellent rating

People obviously recording it as it was up against a drama which ran all week, you could hardly record Mayday and catch up in time. Broadchurch should be up next week.
I recorded Mayday and caught up in time all day Sunday in fact heh.

Our Queen might match DOI's ratings, although not its 18-49 audience.

Meanwhile, the Radio Times preview of The Lady Vanishes can be summarised as well-made but a bit pointless considering how revered Alfred Hitchcock's film is.Maybe that's why BBC1 avoided showing this at Christmas and have stuck it on against Our Queen.
How many people have seen the film of The Lady Vanishes anyway, woman in the RT talking out of her bottom as usual.

I've seen both versions and like them equally (though Cybil Shepherd one is a bit shouty)

I'm guessing while Angela Lansbury vanished she was off being Miss Marple

I shall watch this, but I fear it could be as dull as the recent 39 Steps adaptation (nowhere near as good as the three previous film versions)
