So now you and Neil (and me a while ago)... don't feel comfortable not digging out ratings easily for anyone.

Try and persuade them to give you another free trial.

The bbc treat countryfile better than their most long running drama series! They will use the lead in from doctor who to warm up the voice uk. However not for the first time doctor who has been pushed out of primetime and shed ratings because of below par entertainment shows. Ie andrew lloyd webber. So you think you can dance. The peoples quiz. Its never had a 7pm start time for years. Its crazy this series was not prepared for a winter launch and leave the voice uk to fight its own battle.

Exactly. 5.5m for any documentary is a good figure and it'll probably be one of the highest rated documentaries of the year.

P.S. Can't believe C4 have recommissioned Utopia. Dramas falling to 600,000 are usually lucky to be recommissioned on digital channels, never mind a terrestrial.

Thanks for those, how did 4 O'Clock Club do afterwards, as well as the BBC One simulcast for Glee Club?

It will also probably consolidate pretty well.

Some bad news for RTE - George Dixon is leaving C4 and crossing the Irish sea to head up the channel.

I find it surprising that the ratings for last night's Top Gear appear to not have been posted anywhere, although they're not in the top 10 on ITV Media, so it must have gotten <3m without HD...

2.41m/9.3% inc. HD

It was a 'Best Of' compilation, to be fair, and marked very clearly as such on the EPG.

Genuine question - does it get better demos than Graham Norton.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the rating.
Not a big fan of Top Gear anyways, so was completely unaware it was just a clip show. Just thought it was weird that the rating for such a popular rating was unreported by all sources, but it being a recap certainly explains that!

Thanks again!

Has anyone actually seen the doctor who trailer on bbc one yet? Was expecting to see it before or after eastenders but there was only trailer for the voice and the syndicate.

They put Dr Who on at 7.30pm last September and it did no better in the overnights that it did when it was on at 6pm in the Spring of 2011, That's why they will be quite happy to move it back there.

I've seen the Dr Who trailer at least three times including last night before Match Of The Day and today before Pointless.

Dallas audience increases once again in the latest finals, over 1 million at 2255 and a further 152k watching the plus 1. Proof if ever were needed that Dallas ratings blip was an issue of promotion and scheduling. More than half the shows audience is timeshift.

I suspect another increase this week as its JR's funeral.

In the week-ending 3rd March

Dallas gained 190% audience on timeshift.
Arrow on Sky1 gained 117%
Elementary on Sky Living gained 122.6%
The Waking Dead on Fox gained 204%
and
The Following on Sky Atlantic gained 358%

20 – 7.30m – ANT & DEC’S SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY (02/03/13) – ITV/HD”

Thanks for these. Last night's Countryfile overnighted at 7.51m (boosted by opposing news and the flailing Millionaire rather than DOI), so that might just beat the Prince Charles special in the officials, although perhaps not as normal episodes seem to timeshift barely at all (the Charles one shifted by about 420k; the previous few by under 100k).

The total in the 8pm hour for BBC One and BBC Two (inc HD) on Sunday 10 March was 17.86m, down from 18.01m the week before.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up - DS was wrong with the Perspectives rating then; Chris Tarrant's quiz did manage to beat it by just over a million. Woeful for ITV outside of the royal doc; this helps explain their sub-11% all-day share. I also notice they repeated Food Glorious Food at 3pm; I'd love to know how low that went!

Massive 8.8m peak at the end of Countryfile. As this was away from other channels' junctions, I wonder if it was due to people switching on early for Antiques Roadshow combining with people still watching Countryfile, although one would think they had a similar audience profile.

And a week later Dancing on Ice suddenly looks like a solid mega hit.

ITV though really do need to do something about their weekend daytime schedule - I know there is a balance of cost and reward but they bring down the weekend shares so much and with a bit of investment in the right places they could surely make their money back.

i've just read that the white queen (10 part historical period drama about the war of roses) is going to air on july- what the bloody hell
This is a lavish period drama (apparently with a 22 million euro budget) and they're going to dump in during the summer?
The bbc makes REALLY BAD scheduling decisions regarding their shows- they never care about timeslots, scheduling changes, lead in shows. Bloody hell, three weeks in and they're still sayin 'coming soon' during the village trailer. They're probably decide the day before the air date?

Challenge currently showing Millionaire episodes from after the reduced the number of questions from 15 to 12 but before they introduced the time limit. The time limit leaves the programme - and Chris Tarrant - in a permanent state of stress. Tarrant can't possibly like the time limit. He should walk away so that ITV can put the programme out of its misery.

Last night's rating was absymal and not much better that the Gethin Jones Sunday night quiz Holding Out For A Hero was getting. And that got axed for low ratings.

See the comment I posted last night.

It will be nice to have something decent on over the summer. The weather will probably be shockingly bad anyway.
