So now youre admitting Home delivery was made for the ratings because women giving birth is "popular". Im not saying BBC was first to notice this, far from it. But theres no need for you to make excuses like something was made as a PSB show just cos it got low ratings, this obviously wasnt a PSB show and was made for the ratings. Martin Lewis Show on the other hand is probably PSB and I think it rated alright.

George, you're a trooper. Whatever they're paying you, it isn't enough.
I think it will move around a lot over the next 9 weeks based on football and other things. It was filmed in the street outside The london Studios by a single camera so I'm guessing it cost next to nothing.
No wonder they called it The Money Saving Show.

Why thank you. Alll donations welcome. I do like to radiate positivity and optimism in a thread full of negativity and criticism

Please provide a list of subjects that are owned by the BBC and about which no one else is allowed to infringe copywrite.

For instance have the BBC copywrited the weather, all child birth, history before 1985, etc?

But of course opposite the first episode of Doctor Who in 2005 they clearly did make it a special episode of Takeaway, they had loads of guests including David Beckham. It's not a new thing and it's what telly has been doing for years and years. When they showed Larry Grayson's Generation Game on Challenge from 1978 the other year, there was one episode absolutely stuffed with guests which I assumed was the edition shown opposite the first episode of Brucie's Big Night. Though it actually wasn't.

I remember SMTV having loads of big guests and bringing back the likes of Challenge Ant for the episode that went out opposite the first revamped Live and Kicking in 2000. All channels and programmes do it, and so they should. It was fairly obvious they'd hold back one of the big stunts to dent The Voice. It's not dirty tricks, it how TV channels have always worked.

I don't think ITV were going to do that, I can't imagine that being worth a full series. It was just a bit of filler factual. It seemed an inoffensive enough programme but seemingly that won't do anymore.

Organisations who were involved with Home delivery said it was filmed as a pilot and Itv wouldve done a full series if it got a good rating: https://www.facebook.com/HomeBirther...33761153383665

so the experts in your link said " A massive change from the birth documentaries on TV recently, as this focuses on women receiving truly great care" and yet you claim it is a rip-off of other shows.

What makes you more qualified to opine?

Martin Lewis's show is basically much what he does in his regular slot on This Morning - discuss how you can save money from stuff like shifting ISAs, changing gas and electric suppliers and persuading telecom firms to offer you deals.

guy is amazing, isnt he. The other day he got the conundrum almost before the pictures made it off the screen. And he has had mammoth wins like this all week. Future hall of famer.

I think it could be a weak night for ITV tonight with the CS double bill missing and England playing what is an easy match. Emmerdale will do the business with 7 million, but I can't see a weak game pulling in more than 4 million.

What do you mean by weak? I mean compared to some of the other nights this week, and when you think of the demos, it should be pretty strong.

Shame that BBC TV Centre documentary's were not promoted tonight, Programs that should be on BBC2 and not BBC4.

Well the soap triple bill isn't around, also BBC One should have a better night. I think if the match unexpectedly goes wrong for England, then the ratings will jump, but this is the weakest team England face.

With regard to DW versus SNT in 2005, DW attracted 11 million viewers to SNT's 6.5 million. SNT had a healthy anti audience against DW.

Hope I'm wrong though.”

The show has moved noticeably towards a plot-driven style which is to its detriment. Short term thinking.

I have some sympathy though, a lot of quality actors have left in the last year. Andrew Moss, Rachel Shenton, Karen Hassan, Emmett Scanlan, Bronagh Waugh...and there's more to follow...

I caught it for the first time last night, glad I did. Well made stuff - good that they didn't shy away from the unsavoury Frisk chapter.

It's a shame that Prisoners Wives isn't doing better - it's an excellent show.
