I agree but the big test will be how it holds up against the Voice next week.

Got to hand it to Itv for the relative successes of Splash and Saturday night takeaway. Between the end of XFactor and start of BGT, normally they didnt have anything rating particularly well on saturday nights in the last couple years. Theyve now bridged that gap sufficiently, although Jonathan ross is still a big flop later in the evening. Only massive hole left in their saturday calendar is the one between the end of BGT and start of XF.

Secret Service doing OK in its new slot.

I think that's The Cube's highest rating in over a year - what did it get including +1?

Good for SNT. That will be it's highest rating of the series. I don't think there is any worry for the Voice though next week.

Considering it was up against a daytime program an a lottery quiz it really should be getting those numbers really. But hey it's doing really well.

Reckon it will be low 6- high 5m next week. Or it will remain strong. My gut feeling says it will fall.

Biggest rating since 24th December 2011 with a celebrity special (4.96m) but biggest rating for a regular episode since 21st November 2010 (5.42m).

Would The Cube be over 5m with +1 included?

SNT doing it's job as usual, an 8m peak is brilliant. Higher than some of the X Factor live shows last year (with +1). Jonathan Ross isn't doing great.

Good snow boosts for all of ITV primetime apart from Jonathan Ross. Not even twelve-foot snow drifts will force people to stay in and watch his crappy programme.

Casualty climbs above 5m (just). Well done. Keep up the good work. Try not to stare too hard at Ant and Dec's ratings or you'll get a nose-bleed..

Sorry I didn't make myself clear!

I Think: It will fall to 5-6m.

It Could: Hold up better.

I've been doing this posting thing for a while now and I'm still shit at it!

Oh dear.

Last week's Countryfile got a whopping 7.5m but I expect it to rate much lower tonight because it faces much tougher competition.

So SNT rates 7.3m last night but next week it faces much toug...... Or does it? I don't know because I don't mix in youthful circles, but is there much buzz around this series? I know it's getting a lot of promotion from the BBC, but I look in The Voice forum and there don't seem to have been too many comments posted recently. I knoww the series hasn't started yet, but neither has Dr Who and there are plenty of comments being posted in that forum.

Of course it does. It's competition for the last few weeks has been awful. I think do well. And it will have a 6m lead in which is good.

So I really think there is nothing to worry about. Weather will be Rubbish next weekend as well which will help it. I have older kids that are into this sort of stuff and they watch it my friends down the pub also seem willing to give it a go again because they are bored with everything else.

That's not a nation wide opinion but I think people will tune in, in numbers this Saturday coming.

It will have to find some great contestants this year to really build buzz. I have heard people saying there are some stand out voices. People how have been to the recordings have said positive things. It will be fine. Calm down people !

I'm putting my neck on the line here! You all have permission to slate me if I'm wrong!

I say The Voice forum will pick up in activity throughout the week, The forum is never alive outside the show unlike Big Brother for some weird reason.

4.1% share for itv3 yesterday, beating Five which had 3.9% so the Lewis and Foyles War combo must have done well. Bodes well for tonight as the itv3 episode last night was the last one in the previous run, so tonight will pick up where it leaves off.

Can't they pay SamuelW some overtime so that he can keep The Voice threads and the itv in crisis threads ticking over?
