Awful news for Itv. All British clubs now going to be knocked out of champions leaague. Five matches remain for the season, all low rating all foreign ties. Advertisers and Itv must be devastated by the reality of the next 5 games rating so bad including the final. Good news for BBC drama Syndicate and BBC Saturday lineup against ucl final (like the voice) which will trounce the football in the ratings.

However they should get a good rating tonight which is GOOD news for ITV, advertisers etc etc, which you always overlook. |

Oh dear, ITV's hopes lie on Arsenal!
ITV have the consolation though that tonight's match will probably be the highest rating match of the year, and I'd imagine the highest rating sporting event bar another Murray final at Wimbledon. It's probably one of their most lucrative nights of the year. |

Panaromas audience would be best served post news on monday evening I think they should return animal hospital to that post enders slot with a sexy young presenter.

Nobody wants to watch that do they.

What does the breakdown for broadchurch look to everyone here because if I am reading it wrong- it lost nearly as many viewers as mayday did during sunday?
Spoiler
Spoiler
Mayday lost -830k (-12%) from beginning to end; Broadchurch lost -647k (-10%). EDIT: Look how many people bailed out of ITV when the 22:00 news came on last night, compared with BBC One on Sunday: Code:
Time BBC1 BBC1 ITV ITV 21:55 5,880 (25.1%) 5,867 (25.4%) 22:00 5,079 (24.3%) 3,258 (16.2%) |

You seem to be particularly annoying today Robbie.
Was just baiting George "Mayday, Mayday" S - it's great to have him back amongst us! I love Newton Heath FC really.... ![]() And the BBC are doing their bit - the BBC Sport website has United winning 3-2 on aggregate. ![]() Unless they're baiting George too... |

Not worth hanging around until after the news for. Didn't even fit it into the main programme, the incompetent sods. And people wonder why ITV Sport gets such a bad rep.
The match ended 20 minutes ago so not much excuse for not starting the news on time. |

Isn't it an Ofcom requirement for ITV to show the news at ten o'clock except on special occasions for live events (e.g. the Brits)?
The match ended 20 minutes ago so not much excuse for not starting the news on time. If not, then no. We can blame Ofcom for lots of things but not this. |

He hasnt given it yet.
Roy Keane is by far the best thing about ITV's football coverage. Without him it would be an unmitigated disaster. |

Id like to see them pilot comedy shows over eight weeks in that slot and give panaroma a break. The eastenders audience is never fully used and coronation street is never challenged as bbc one is a public service.
Quote:
they only did it because they were embarrased that Brainiac on Sky was delivering science in a more accessible way than anything on the BBC, so they just do an inferior rip off.

What's the excuse for Andy Townsend. Is he really the best ITV can muster for the big matches ? Dire throughout. Had to cringe at him slaughtering their keeper in the first half then backtracking like crazy in the second after he pulled off numerous outstanding saves.
Roy Keane is by far the best thing about ITV's football coverage. Without him it would be an unmitigated disaster. And the keeper was shaky in the 1st half. Fact. He is the 2nd keeper and was brought in as temporary cover. He turned it around in the 2nd half though. "When the Facts Change, I Change My Mind. What Do You Do?" to quote someone you probably havent heard of. |

ITV moved the news back to 10pm themselves, because it wasn't working at 10.30 and they had nothing interesting to show at 10pm. The only reason they try to keep it at 10pm was because when they used to move it about the press dubbed it 'News at When'.

You pays your money and you takes your chance. Maybe if there's another poor performance next season, what's to say ITV might not want the risk, particularly if interest in the game in general is waning and England flunk the World Cup. |

Sir Alex is not doing the press conference! Mike Phelan is doing it. Apparently too distraught.
