After all the bad press (much totally justified) and rejection by the Beeb, does anyone know how Crufts is doing on More4?
I ejoyed Clare Balding as a presenter, the mix of vets and experts, the "heart-warming " stories ( although I can well do without OTT background music as some of those stoires were quite remarkable enough),the fascinating variety of breeds and the competition. Of course not everyone is a doggie person in the UK but there are a hell of a lot of us and despite the RSPCA, the KC has not lost all its' status. .

I thought he had agreed to do 2 series of short runs per year again, although it seems to have gone very quiet on that recently.

I think it would do well alternating with The Chase. Otherwise viewers are going to tire of quiz shows eventually.

I really wish the BBC would get on with rebranding it as bbc2 hd. What's taking so long?

Wow indeed, that's massive and about 2m more than predictions. That must be the highest rating show in that slot for quite a while?

Obviously Robbie or Samuel will be along soon to discredit it and say that it only happened because BBC1 didn't compete!

3rd week in a row that life stories has gone up. If Mayday going up by 3 whole people is worth of note, then possibly this factoid is to.

This is just off the top of my head but I think I'm right in saying that the Susan Boyle, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole episodes did better, no doubt I will stand to be corrected by a ratings boffin though

Life Stories surprisngly very good. I dont understand however why it was so much bigger than normal. Why did torvill and dean rate so much better than stars like Sir Roger Moore, Sir Bruce Forsyth and Sir Elton John? My guess is they cross promoted this on Dancing on Ice last weekend and some of the viewers just thought it was a special interview edition of Dancing on Ice.

Highest since I'm A Celeb from what I can see.

EDIT: Confirmed, best performance by ITV in the Friday 21:00-22:00 slot since 30 November 2012.

He didn't do much for Let's Dance last week.

Yes, the Glee Club repeat started off very well at 08:20 with 358k (5.3%) but dropped off rapidly to 71k by the end as it was scheduled to finish at 09:05, no good for kids going to school.

I think alot of people watch DOI because of Torvill and Dean and there was some press about JT being a bit teary, but impressive stuff. Its a good premise for a show really even if Piers isnt exactly everyones cup of tea. There should always be a market for a show like this-Piers previous series on BBC was much more basic and serious.
And twelve shows in this run is quite a commitment. Interesting to see how many SCD fans tune into Bruno Tonioli next week.
