Weiss wurst

Im going to the bavarian beerhouse friday and would like to try the weiss wurst even if it looks grim. What does it taste like, do you eat the skin?

I'd cut the wurst skin length wise and extract the meat with a fork. Dip the meat in senf (mustard).

I love them, but not with the tradional sweet mustard. Can't stand the stuff. Regular mustard for me.
Don't let the colour put you off, it's just because they have no nitrate in them like other sausages, but table salt.

I like a lot of different German sausages with the sweet mustard and the potato salad and all that good stuff, but I'm not a fan of the Weisswirst, I think cardomom has no place in a sausage.

As has been said, you don't eat the skin, Your actual Bavarians suck the meat out of the skin, which looks a bit suggestive to us, so unless you want to look like a bit of a wannabe Bavarian, don't do that. Just cut the sausage lengthways and the skin will come off pretty easily.
