As there are so many rumours floating around the internet about Toy Story 4 at the moment, i thought i would do a thread about it.

Do you want a Toy Story 4? And do you think Disney will do a Toy Story 4?

Personally i really hope they don't make a 4th one, the 3rd one ended perfectly and i don't think any more are needed. I like the idea of short films but nothing else. I do feel though that there will be a 4th one, Disney are thinking about the $$$$ and considering how much they made on the 3rd one, it's not surprising.

I dread an official announcement of a fourth film, but Pixar seem to be really serious about sequels/prequels over the last few years.

#3 ended so brilliantly, IMO Toy Story is one of the best trilogies.
I don't mind seeing the characters continue in the shorts that they have been making, but that should be it.

I'm glad to hear that actually. It ended perfectly with Part 3.

Hanks did actually say though that "I think they are trying to do another one. The spirit afoot is to make a fourth".

I really hope they don't.

No thanks as I don't want to see 'Toy Story 4'. I agree with the other FMs that Toy Story 3 was the perfect finale in the series.

Erghh. NO! Toy Story 3 tied the whole thing up very nicely.

Money money money, that's all they think about.

I guess it all boils down to the script. Toy Story is too big a deal to set aside, so the brand will probably continue if it's up to scratch. Disney/Pixar are seemingly strangers to failure and will want a long-running franchise that runs alongside the one-offs (Brave, Wall-e, Up etc).

Here's a mad thought though: Disney have just bought Star Wars. Imagine a Toy Story that featured.....Star Wars Toys, alongside Woody & Co. Imagine the merchandise possibilities. Somewhere a Disney exec has just fainted.

I wouldn't have used the word "fainted" .. more like "ejaculated"

Maybe it'll spin off though ?. They'll take one of the other characters and it'll be something like "Mr and Mrs Potato Head in a Toy Story Adventure" or "Toy Story: Bo Peep's Big Wedding" or something along those lines ..

I recall many similar reactions when Toy Story 3 was announced. That one didn't turn out too badly.

I would like another Toy Story - I have faith that they know what they are doing with these films and that it would be just as good as the triology.

I thought it came to a superb close with Toy Story 3. I might be the only person around who would love to see a sequel to A Bug's Life!

Toy Story 4 is being widely poo-pooed on other forums/sites, but I'd be very surprised if we didn't see Woody & Co. again in a major release.

TS 3 did round it all off nicely though, and I'd agree the trilogy is maybe best left as it is.

Perhaps the next TS would be the first in an all-new trilogy? *tills ringing*

Wouldn't mind shorts, maybe a 30-minute film, but a whole movie, where on earth will they take the characters?

As mentioned by mostly everyone on here, Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending.

Agreed. No No No. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to the franchise. I would be disappointed with Pixar If they did do a fourth movie.
