I don't think so myself. I will likely wait about a year like I did with the earlier consoles. No need to rush in right away as there will be enough new PS3 games in the short term to keep me occupied.

No because there's a good chance there'll be little or nothing worth playing on it, like pretty much every other console ever.

Most probably not. Will wait for a price drop as it'll be expensive.

That, and the PS3 still has a long way to go before I want to replace it. Still got a lot of miles left in it.

No, if at all.

Seems like two of the biggest launch games for it (Watch_Dogs and Destiny) are coming to current consolse anyway, so that instantly takes away a good amount of appeal.

I'm going to wait to see what MS has instore at E3, also expecting Sony to have way more on display when it comes to actual games, rather than tech demos.

I will wait until at least the second hardware revision so any bugs are ironed out and to see which consoles sell the most.

I am looking at buying the next gen console on release, im not sure yet whether that will be the nextbox or PS4.

If it was going to be the PS4 my plan was to get the console on release with what ever package suited and then purchase used PS3 games that i have not had chance to play as i have a 360 currently. so the lack of backwards compatibility is disappointing for me.

I cant see myself buying at launch, I still have a large list of games I want to play on PS3. I can however see myself buying one within 12months of launch if a good deal or bundle comes up.

When I bought my PS3 I played a lot of the PS2 games I had missed the previous generation between the release of PS3 games I wanted, with that not been an option it might make my jump from PS3 to PS4 wait a little longer.

Plus I still want to see what MS do before committing to a format.

Its already on the list of what i want as a joint birthday and Christmas present (my birthday is 8 days before Christmas)

I'm a sucker for new hardware when it comes to gaming (hell i even own the sharpshooter for the move), i usually get every console in each generation starting with the Playstation on launch day and the rest when they are cheaper

Hell even the disappointment of it potentially being released early next year in the UK will be counteracted with the fact the longer it takes to launch the more launch day games i'll be able to get

Yes I will, I bought a PS3 at launch and didn't regret it one bit. I'm really excited about the PS4 so will be there an waiting, hopefully the new Killzone game will be released on launch and I'll have something awesome to play.

Not sure yet. I'll definitely buy it but whether it's near launch or 6 months later when there's a price drop, I'm not sure.

LOL at the Nays. There is no reason to hold off buying next gen, day one. Its being so many years since we had new console from Sony/MS, I bloody well can't wait.

I'll wait for a bit, depending on what launch titles will be available for either Xbox or PS4. I went from PS2 to Xbox/360 as the price and lack of games on PS3 in the beginning was disappointing. I imagine I will get an Xbox and my partner who has a PS3 will upgrade to PS4... At least that way we will have both

The rather obvious manufacturing flaws in launch PS3's/360's seems a good reason to me.

Doesn't mean a thing.

Similar issues would appear within the warranty period (based on most RROD's) so that's a cost to the manufacturers.

With the PS3 most of the problems emerged after the warranty period.

Apart from the fact I have a long list of PS3 games I want to play, by the time I get through them the PS4 will be cheaper and have more games, which to me begs the question why buy the PS4 at launch if I am still going to be playing a lot of PS3 games.

If we all don't buy it at launch then they will have to lower the price.

I'll wait a year to see if there are any bugs like the RROD.

This! Couldn't have put it better myself.

Plus launches tend to be a mixed bag tbh and it takes a while before most consoles have must have titles anyway.

Uncharted would make it more tempting tho...........

I never buy consoles on launch day I like to hear other peoples opinions and reviews before making a decision. Especially with the cost involved.
