Yes,Luke can say what he likes and I'm loving it ,because it shows him up for the immature little boy he will always be.He has the charisma of a grizzly bear.
If the tension is so intense that Robin uses it to excuse Luke's lack of talent then it is VERY relevant .It is also very obvious that Luke's need to dominate everyone around him is causing problems.He doesn't like being controlled outside the ring. Inside he has managed to get by apparently,but in the real world the kid is a control freak & is waiting to explode. His partner looks constantly on edge. Whatever they are paying her isn't enough. She'll need therapy after this. IMO.”

Your rant here about Luke is OTT! He's young and immature. I don't get the impression he has to dominate everyone around him. As Pasta says the VTs are edited, to show what the producers want us to see to spice things up a bit.

Yes,I said that.
They can't edit his partner's face. She looks stressed & ill at ease both during the rehearsals & performances with him. She only relaxes when they complete the routine. She is the one spending most time with him & it is evident she finds him hard work. Add to that Robin commenting on the tension between them on a live show & it says it all. He is a stroppy toddler throwing his teddy down when people refuse to praise his every fart. He has a lot of growing up to do.

Yep,I agree. Well he is only at week three level now & is rubbish, so the sooner he hits the road the sooner we can see all good routines rather than one tolerable & the rest excellent.

Jason is first and foremost a dancer, he is looking not for skating skills but dancing skills with lines and posture. Luke is coming across as a spoilt little kid, he just cannot take critism. Jason can be harsh, but basically, he speaks the truth, he just dos'nt wrap it up as nice as Robin Cousin's does, which if you listen carefully, both Robin and Jason have the same view.

Nothing to do with the Skating, all to do with the dancing, and dancing Luke ain't. That's why the programme is called Dancing On Ice, they have two judges who judge the skating and two that judge the dancing, not rocket science.

Well, that is one of the reasons why he shouldn't be a judge. It isn't a dancing competition, it is a skating one even if it incorporates elements of dance.

Secondly, he rarely has the same opinion as Robin because Robin is able to judge based on both skating and performance which he cannot do. Often Robin says things like 'I understand where Jason is coming from but...." i.e. he doesn't agree with him, its just that he expresses it more diplomatically whereas Jason in the same position would say "I think Robin is talking nonsense".

Luke is an Olympic gold medallist and I am sure he will have had to take an awful lot of criticism in his life to get there. What Luke says is that he can take criticism but that he shouldn't have to take insults and he has a point.

Except none of them do much 'dancing on ice'. Most of what they do is closer to pairs skating than ice dance.
