If you're talking strangest, this has got to be up there.

The worst, in my humble opinion, is the murdering of Free's classic song "All Right Now" by Rod Stewart and again by Pepsi and Shirlie!
Rod Stewart has released some great stuff over the years, especially with The Faces, but what the **** was he thinking of here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff3__8U7Ivw And as for Pepsi & Shirlie - can it honestly get any worse? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBVLEorAEnc |

The Mike Flowers Pops did a slow Andy Williams style swing version of Wonderwall which I think is inspired, especially with the nostalgia for sixties derived pop culture during that time:

This one fits into the 'strange' category. Imo, it's weird but rather wonderful.
I give you German a capella metal (yes, you read that right) band Van Canto's cover of Iron Maiden's Fear Of The Dark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyHcIHssdHA This is the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nba3Tr_GLZU |

Sheryl Crow did Sweet Child of Mine and, in-famously, Sugababes and Girls Aloud did Walk This Way, which also qualifies as possibly the worst cover ever.

Mariah Carey's I Wanna Know What Love Is was pretty...random. It's not bad, it's just like what?

Nouvelle Vague's cover of Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough was a very strange but beautiful cover version.
Hearing The Saturdays covering that same song was quite a strange one too. |
