I agree to be honest ..with the demise of the x factor winner being the be all and end all ..the dream etc ..they are seing the show as an overall promotional tool to promote a number of acts in different ways...
I dont think its such a bad thing at the moment but it might kill the show in the long term

But i do think that the reason the released James's single outside the Uk is because times have moved on ..the UK market is shrinking just look at album sales ..”

Actually the UK singles market is growing, not shrinking. And the comparison being made is about singles not albums--obviously, since James has yet to release one.

Tired of these Matt vs James debates...”

There would not be Matt vs James debates if James supporters were not forever having digs at Matt. If you check the thread who started the put downs? Matt and his fans are happy with the direction his career is going and James has just had the winner's single and it is early days with how his career goes. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Right, but it started off by someone saying that James would end up like Matt too. So obviously we had to come to his defence. None of us started it really. A third party started (usually always does) inciting one fanbase against another.

why quote half of my post
The uk market in albums is shrinking ...correct??
My point was that by releasing james's single outside the uk has given him a bigger platform to potential sell more albums in europe .more live performances..wider market...good marketing IMO

Alexandra's winners single was available on itunes in several European countries when she won...i can't see why Matt/Joe/Little Mix wouldn't be made available either....
