Just finished re-watching season 5.

The "identical hand twin" surely has to be the worst idea of the whole series? Admittedly, without that storyline Joey would have nothing to do in The One In Vegas, but couldn't they have thought of something, anything better than that?

I think with Richard going to the party he was invited anyway, being Jack's friend. And the parents didn't know they were seeing each other so it's not like he was there as Monica's date. It is strange that Rachel wasn't mentioned though. Especially as Jack and Judy were fond of her

I'd assume the Gellers, Rachel, Richard, Barry and Mindy were all from the same area in Long Island. Barry was an orthodontist so perhaps it's not outside the realms of possibility that he'd invite eye-doctor Richard to his wedding. Perhaps that's how those families were all supposed to have known each other as Rachel's father was a doctor too.
Good point I guess, I never linked Barry and Richard.
I was thinking that Rachel and Monica hadn't seen each other since school/collage (until the pilot) and therefore before Rachel and Barry got together, so my thinking was that Monica never met Barry. It's all a bit confusing!

One thing I've noticed watching them back, is the Friends going to events.

In season one, Monica and Ross's Nana died, and all the friends went to the funeral, even though they didn't seem to know her. Maybe this one's just me, but why would they all go to the funeral?

Also in season 2, Jack Gellar is having a birthday party. Monica goes with Richard (who she has just started dating) and has the job of telling her parents they are together. Ross is dating Rachel at the time too, but doesn't bring her. She wasn't doing anything special to warrant missing the party, infant her and Phoebe were only getting tattoos! So why wouldn't Rachel go too?

Also I know age has been mentioned, but here's another: Joey stating in late season one he is 25. Jump to mid season 2 he says he 28!
I'd say going to a friends grandmothers funeral is quite normal, you're there to support your friend.

It always bugged me that all 6 went to Carol & Susan's wedding..Why would Phobie & Joey be there? they don't know them hardly (as pointed out in a later series went Joey jokingly hits on Carol & she says 'you don't know me well enough to do that') I can see why the others would be there tho

Maybe Ross' wedding invitation had a plus 5 instead of a plus 1.

Phoebe at Sting's house discussion the bullying problem was ludicrous, throughout the scene Trudy Styler looked like she was reading off cue cards. Terrible acting.

The Joey speaking French episode is cringeworthy.

The notion itself is just about plausible - the execution was simply abysmal.

Oh no, I've just remembered "The One With Joey's Porsche" - an even lamer idea and the one I usually cite as the worst ever Friends episode!

The One with Joey's Porsche wasn't that bad, wasn't the Rachel/Ross divorce in that one? That was quite funny.

There are worse episodes from the first and last seasons.

Oh, don't say abysmal.. That (along with hand twin) is my worst Joey moment. Thinking abysmal means great & going on & on.. Just embarrassing.

I preferred the middle seasons. Seasons 1 and 2 were kind of dull, 3-7 were great and then 8-10 were too silly.
I agree. 1-2 are like a completely different programme, 3 is where it picks up, 6-8 are my favourites and then it drops off a bit. I think it ended at the right time.

The later series have some of the funniest episodes, particularly TOW Ross's Tan and the one where Ross gets buzzed on the maple syrup candy.

I must be the only person in the world who loves the one where Joey speaks French.
I like it too, I find it funny in a silly way

I like crazy loser Ross in the later series even though I'd kill him if I knew him in real life.

My Fajitas!!!!

Anyway. My favourite seasons are 3 and 4, especially the way Rachel and Ross are bouncing off each other over Emily and Joshua. Or the one where she's dating a college guy and he's a babysitter!

That the 'joke' that Joey thinks abysmal means great wears thin in no time & becomes cringeworthy.

I remember the first time I watched TOW Joey Speaks French. I actually felt embarrassed to be watching it.
