Yeah she's only been in one episode. Are you maybe thinking of where Joey has a girlfriend called Kate Miller and then in Barbados Rachel chooses a nametag with Kate Miller on it?

Monica being a head chef never seemed to be in the kitchen. Also when Monica bangs Bens head and goes to all the trouble of trying to cover it up,why not say the kid banged his head as toddlers do.

I am pretty sure that one of joeys girlfriends shows up in a later episode as a completely different character. As the girlfriend, she's the one who is quite short, long wavy hair...who keeps punching joey really hard although she doesn't realise it.

I know she appears again later on...as someone else...but I can't remember the episode or scene....can anyone else...otherwise I might just have to start watching again!
Are you thinking of Precious, gf of Mike who Pheobe dumps for him after returning from Barbados? Or Ross' student girlfriend?

Pheobe's brother appears earlier on in the shows run as a guy who throws a condom in to Pheobe's guitar case.

'Estelle' also appeared in S1 as the midwife for Carol when she had Ben.

Monica is high maintanence and Rachel is a pushover

She's not a vegan. She is a veggie who ate meat when she was pregnant, which is understandable.

I never got the reaction from Monica over the whole mugging incident. She actually told her it was 'awful'. You know what else is awful? A child living on the streets of NY. I don't know what reaction Monica wanted from Pheebs, but she shouldn't have been made to feel bad for something she did to survive when she was a child. She didn't hurt anyone. She just scared the crap out of a young geeky Ross

Also, the cop stabbed her first
Phoebe ate meat when Rachel was going out with Paolo. Monica had made too many lasagnas and was giving them away and there was a shot of Phoebe at Monica's table eating lasagne (which was not vegetarian as Monica told her aunt to scrape out the meat).

I loved Phoebe. She was such a bitch.

I'm another one that agrees with you. Phoebe was often absolutely vile. Had she been my "friend", I would've told her to take a long walk off a short pier.

One time that particularly stuck with me was when Rachel was having a hard time with Ross getting married to Emily (I think this was the scenario) and when Rachel tried to talk to Phoebe about still having feelings for Ross in the coffee house, Phoebe said something like "Oh, that reminds me of the time I was living on the streets/in a burnt out car/whatever...although it doesn't really, because mines was a real problem and not some high school crap!", Rachel then got upset and started to cry and Phoebe said "Here come the waterworks!"

She was a very very selfish character, totally unlikeable in my view for the most part.
But that was when Phoebe was pregnant and her hormones were all over the place, not just for no reason.

In all fairness, I do believe that is just a big goof from the writers. It didn't make any sense. We never see her casually eating meat any other time during the show, with the exception of when she was pregnant.

Vegetarians do slip up though. I've been one for about 7 years and I can't say I've never cracked.

Pheobe always contridicted her beliefs, liking pottery barn in the end and working for a massage company, which she hates and is totally against when Rachel has that voucher. But she worked with Jasmine at one in an earlier series, they sacked her I think.

As a vegetarian, I think it's very understandable. Being pregnant can be uncomfortable enough without craving something you can't have. The poor woman was carrying triplets. I don't begrudge her meat, especially since Joey promised to lay off it for a while (although whether he stuck to that outside of London is anyone's guess).

The fur coat storyline was ridiculous and I don't excuse that at all, but it was a moment of madness from Phoebe. She did realise how much of a hypocrite she was being and stopped wearing it within the episode. Again, I don't excuse it, but nobody's perfect
I'm also a vegetarian and found both storylines to be equally ridiculous.

I am usually very forgiving of inconsistencies on TV shows, they do not tend to bother me (when I actually notice them). But these two did.

Phoebe's birth scene with the triplets was rather annoying because a) it was Phoebe centred and b) she just squeezed out triplets in a few little pushes, the whole thing was very unconvincing. Rachel's birth scene was much more realistic!
Actually, you've put something in my head maybe an expert could clear up,
When Rachel finds out she's pregnant she has a scan at five weeks?
The doctor isn't running the ... yoke (I think it's called a transducer?) ...on her belly, yet they are watching it on the screen? How are they seeing that? There doesn't seem to be anything connecting Rachel to the screen.
Maybe I dreamed this. And would the ultrasound show up much that you would see at five weeks? Or are american pregnancies dated differently than UK or Ireland.

Can we change that to some vegetarians may slip up? I never have which might explain why I find the story more ridiculous than you do.

At that early stage of pregnancy the foetus would only show up on an internal scan, also known as a transvaginal scan which should tell you where the scan probe is placed...

Loads of Friends errors listed on this site. http://m.moviemistakes.com/tv2651

When Rachel picks up the phone and Monica is talking to Chandler about a'doing laundry' later. When Rachel hears Chandler's voice she screams and puts the phone down. Surely Momica at least would have heard her from the bedroom? Plus it didn't look like she'd hung the phone up before she screamed.

Monica is also app allergic to cats, but I'm sure she was ok with that missing cat that Pheobe thought contained her mother's spirit.

I'm a member of that site hehe.

There are LOADS of friends mistakes, I seen one the other day on Comedy Central, there were only 2 guys in the guys apartment but in the background there was clearly a leg.

I think since they've redone them in HD/Widescreen etc there are a lot more mistakes showing up, that wouldn't have before.

In a scene from The One with George Stephanopoulos (3rd episode of Series 1) Rachel is talking to her old girlfriends in the Coffee Shop, trying to tell them that she's happy with her new life. In that episode her hair is still quite shaggy, but in this scene it cuts away from her (shaggy hair) to her friends, then back to her and she has The Rachel Cut!

I didn't mean to imply all vegetarians have had slip ups

I'm actually the only veggie I know. All I meant was, we're all human. Everyone makes mistakes. I wouldn't hold it against Phoebe if she cracked and ate a lasagna once in 10 years and I really can't hold eating meat during pregnancy against her.

The lasagna thing was still ridiculous in how it was handled, which is why I assume it was just an error. It was too casual to not be

Shows how much I know. I thought the "Rachel Cut" was the shaggy hair.

WHAAAAT! He was my favourite! Ross can!

That was more layered, I mean in the pilot and a couple more after that her hair was a bit longer and fluffier. Watch the episode, you won't be able to believe you didn't spot it before!

monica also referenced phoebe eating meat when she first broke up with the ice skater guy i believe.

i always wondered about ross's apartment.it seemed to me like he was well below monicas level but they could see him easily(even with a balcony in the way) i found it unlikely how he could see rachel naked in the kitchen in the vegas episode.

i actually liked the joey french episode.it was so incredibly stupid it was funny, just like his stint on a gameshow

Ross' apartment was that of ugly naked guy remember and they once thought he was dead, so used a giant poking device made of chopsticks to check. There was no way that could reach that far or take the weight. Plus it looked like the apartment was straight opposite Monica and Rachel.

I love Friends, it's my favourite TV show of all time. But there's SO MANY continuity errors. They're birthdays changing all the time always annoyed me, and the fact that Pheobe's real parents, Carol and Susan and the Chick and Duck were all forgotten about halfway through the series.

ALSO something that always bothered me was when Pheobe realised in series 10 that she'd never been in a serious relationship, when in series 5 she was in a serious relationship with Gary the cop, and even moved in with him until he shot a bird.
