The line 'Which one are you' would have worked and been funny if Jack had said it sort of dry sarcastically so he was sort of jokingly saying 'I barely know you why would we share'

But the line is badly written and said

When Dr Green jokes that Ross works in a library, he says that he has never worked in a library. But he says that at school he helped in the library when he made out with the librarian

In the same episode Joey teaches an acting class and says that he said "The bell doesn't dismiss you I do" surely at an adult college there wouldn't be a bell?

I don't think Ross worked in the library as in doing a job, he said he was working in the library as in homework. At least that is how I interpreted it.

Something Friends related was just uploaded on The Lad Bible Facebook page. It's the scene when Phoebe comments on Monica's hair and Monica says "I pay to get this done" and Phoebe says "Love it", when she says that, a side shot of Monica is taken while the camera focusses on Phoebe and I am pretty sure it's NOT Monica. It's someone with darker skin. The caption the Facebook video is "That one episode of Friends when Monica changes race mid shot"

The stand in probably wasn't visible originally but since they remastered and resized the episodes she is

Originally you probably only ever saw her from the back

In the Inappropriate Sister episode do people think that girl is actually Danny's sister? Also in that episode Rachel says that one of her sisters is very masculine, but neither Jill or Amy are at all masculine

The Joey and Janine storyline is very poor. Elle McPherson is dull as an actress and had no chemsitry with MLB

I might be one of the few who liked the Janine arc, the only issue for me is the way she was hurriedly written out as once Joey actually got it together with her, there wasn't much mileage left so they basically made her a total bitch as means of getting rid.

Yes 100% they just had no boundaries which was weird, Don't think we were meant to read anything too weird into it.

As has been said previously, Rachel treated Ross appalingly before their break up when she started at Bloomingdales. Especially when Ross sent a barbershop quartet to Bloomingdales. Mark did nothing to reassure Ross that nothing was going on

In that same episode, Chandler talks about arranging a bachelor party for his bottonist cousin. Chandler says "I think the only reason he's getting married is to see a stripper". This is a dumb line because if the cousin wanted to see naked women, he would be doing that anyway with his wife

The Joey dancing story in that episode is excellent. As for Monica and Julio, the delivery of "The empty vase" was funny but it was a boring concept

It's annoying that Janine got a lot of stick just basically being a woman who was able to stand up to Monica. Joey would have needed to have someone like Janine in his life IF he was to settle down.

Agree with Rachel treating Ross like crap during their relationship. I mean even Hugh Laurie on the plane had to side with Ross despite never meeting him May be a reason why I liked Rachel and Ross more in the 2nd half of the series.

And I think I've mentioned this before but I don't think Mona gets enough credit for her understanding during her time. Anyone else would have left earlier but she stuck around even with the whole pregnancy. The amount of times she was left behind "Damn it Mona. I was supposed to meet her an hour ago" that happened a few times

One gripe about my least favourite episode in the whole series, TOW the Shark Porn.

While the Shark Porn story is simply awful (as a single storyline, only Joey speaking French is worse), it also annoys me that in one of the minor storylines, it's all about the notion that Phoebe has never had a serious relationship. Yet she lived with Gary, albeit shortlived, in Season 5.

"It seems perfectly clear to me that you were on a break" brilliant line!

Phoebe and Gary only lived together very briefly, and Gary wasn't in that many episodes so they didn't date for long. Duncan the ice dancer and her ex-husband was a more serious relationship

Agreed, but despite the brevity of the relationship, it would surely have to be serious to have considered moving in together in the first place.

And was the Duncan thing even a real relationship? I thought she only married him in a marriage of convenience so he could get a green card?

Because Joey and Phoebe have previously attended many events with the Gellers, so Jack would remember them
But Jack has his own life and other things to think about other than how many friends his children have. So while he may have met the group several times he probably never paid enough attention to them all. And like I said in my last post, they had Kip as a 'friend' before Joey and Rachel, and they have taken dates to events so maybe he can't keep up. He's hardly the brightest bulb, is he?

As for their dates, maybe he would remember Alex Baldwin as Parker from their wedding party

I didn't like the Janine story - it would've been funny between her and Monica but I thought Elle McPherson was very wooden. I remember reading an interview after her character was written out and she saud something like how she was only there to look good and for the otheres to bounce lines off. Er, well THEY were the stars, the show was set around them and their lives. She is very good looking but a model, not an actress.

Thought it was a shame we didnt see more of Christina Applegate as Amy - she was hilarious, especially in the whole Thanksgiving debate over who "gets" Emma if Ross & Rachel die!

Hmmm I dunno if I agree with that Rachel treated Ross badly in their relationship. She treated him badly at other times of course - ditching him over the list after he broke up Julie etc but he was very intense and jealous as soon as she got a job that was important to her. I got the feeling Ross was in love with 16 year old Rachel and wanted her to look after her so to speak. The episode where he "bonds" with her dad comes to mind he's slagging her off. Sending all that junk to her office, turning up screaming at mark when he was kissing another girl, making a big deal about going to the fashion show then falling asleep and humiliating her - even after mark left the company he was still complaining showing up at her office setting it on fire when she was clearly stressed. It just showed a lack of respect for her And her ideas. He wanted her to be a silly teenager forever.
They weren't on a break. She said that because she was exasperated.
He was still saying "is this about mark" and not listening to her Then stormed out without even a chance to explain what a break Meant
Then, yes she was stupid to let Mark invite himself over (how did he even know where she lived!!) but still Ross just jumped on the first woman he saw. All it took for him to "forgive" Rachel for supposedly being with Mark and wanting a break which clearly allowed them to shag other people was one voice mail and then he was in a terrible rush to cover up his deed.
In my opinion he only came up with the "we were on a break " defence after it became clear Rachel wouldn't have him back and then it was about him "winning" the fight which is typical Ross. This is further enforced when Rachel writes the letter. He cares more about winning than actually being with Rachel or having an honest conversation about feelings. It's better to scream "we were on a breeeeak " and storm out.
Now obviously Rachel is not a saint and very mannipulative so maybe in the long run they are suited to each other and not damaging anyone else!!!

I was gonna ask the same thing! However, the fact that Mark invited himself over and asked Rachel out shows that he was ultimately nice to her to sleep with her, but coincedentally worked in fashion. Ross may have done pretty bad things to Rachel (sleeping with Chloe, his reaction to her pregancy, refusing to tell Rachel that they weren't divorced) but Ross was right about Mark as backed up by Joey and Chandler

Also, as for the trail when would Isaac have seen Jasmine the morning after in order to tell her so she could tell Gunther? I simply assume that Jasmine and Gunther were also at that party or that the copy place, the massage parlour and Central Perk were near each other. Did Jasmine and Gunther coincedentally happen to be roomates and know the gang or did Phoebe introduce them to each other?

In the one with the Football, at the end of the episode Ross and Monica throw the Geller Cup into the trash only for Phoebe to intercept it. But surely Ross and Monica hadn't been back to the apartment so how would Phoebe know where to collect the cup? I think that the Football episode along with the one where Ross got high are two of the best Ross and Monica episodes (both thanksgiving episodes coincedentally) but the end scene confuses me

Finally, I think when Monica tells Phoebe and Mike that they can discuss "the idea of me and Ross doing it" is up there as one of the worst lines ever. Why would Monica think of that?!

Seems Mark was a bit of a player, he was with another girl who worked in Bloomingdales also

Were Jasmine and Gunter roommates? Maybe Im blurry on that. Isaac was Jasmines brother is that right? Maybe he rang her being a nosey fooker - but yea it's a bit ridiculous. Nowadays it would be totally different with Rachel changing her status to "" and Ross unfriending Rachel!

Yea that line about Monica and Ross... Yick!!

I've wondered that as well about when Monica would have arranged with Phoebe to be at the bottom of the trash chute to collect the trophy when Monica & Ross were only just returning from coming in from outside and they seemingly only decided there and then on a whim to throw the trophy away.

They were roommates. Obviously there were no mobiles so Isaac wouldn't have texted her the news

True, Mark probably flirted with all the female Bloomingdales staff

The line from Monica was gross, did she really think about her and Ross doing it?!

Mike only flew out to Barbados because Monica bullied him into it, Mike still didn't want to propose to Phoebe
