I suppose he was just being a worried big brother same way Rachels dad went mental at Ross.

It does but I think that was the gag he was back and forth with insulting both the girl and Rachel!
You'd think with as many sisters and nieces & nephews he supposedly had and sisters estranged from husbands he'd be a bit mellower |

On that note, any idea how Rachel's dad knew where Ross lived?

It says something of this show that people still love to talk about it, laugh about it and gripe about it after finishing a decade ago. A great show.

Just watching the one with Phoebe's birthday - Phoebe who, in her own words, can hold up well under torture caves and gives up the table the minute the waiter speaks to her! Sometimes I wonder if Phoebe is a bit like Jay from the Inbetweeners and a lot of what she says about her life is bullshit |

I have the same feeling about Nessa from Gavin and Stacey she just lies and no one calls her on it #offtopic
But yea I feel Phoebe's pre-thegang life was probably surreal but "street Phoebe" wasn't as badass and effed up as she makes out. |

The Phoebe's Rats episode is awful, and Mike comes across very boring in that
The same episode also contains the mystery of how Gavin knew about Rachel and Tag, and also Joey pursuing Molly the nanny. Monica says about that "That's really nice of you to let Joey have the girl for once". I know it was sarcastic, but surely Monica's husband Chandler wouldn't be allowed to pursue Molly and neither would Ross who is Emma's dad and that would be more awkward |

I assume Gavin knew about Tag through office gossip. Rachel probably wasn't anywhere near to as discreet as she might have thought, so someone would have known and would likely have gossiped about it with Gavin.
Probably that blonde secretary who Rachel threatened to call her supervisor when she hinted she and Tag had been flirting. |

I'm sure someone has said this before but I can't find it on here.
They say they were dancing to an undisclosed song, but how come Jennifer Aniston sings along to 'I'll be there for you' in some shots? |

Other than mugging Ross, "street Phoebe" was probably exaggerated
She probably just fell asleep in a doorway after a heavy night out once and considered that 'living on the streets'. She always just came across as full of crap to me. |

Street Phoebe is bollocks - her Mum didn't die until she was 18 and then surely she would gone to live with the Grandmother.

In the episode where Monica "pulls a Monica", she overreacted about Judy having lasange in the freezer. Judy could have had them in anyway When Joey and Treegor dance, Joey suggests that they rehearse at his place. Stupid idea from Joey as this would mean that Treegor would find out that the chick and the duck are pets |

I thought she was 14. Even then it doesn't make sense that she didn't move in with her grandma

Judy specifically said it was incase she 'Pulled a Monica' so basically she had no faith in her, Hardly overreacting i'd say

I can't remember if this episode has been brought up before in this thread, but I find Brad Pitt's acting to be really bad in his appearance. I don't really have any strong opinions about him outside of that as I've not seen many of his films but that episode always jars on me. I guess having him hate Rachel was a silly gimmick anyway (and obviously a bit ironic after he & Jen had quite a public divorce). There are a few funny moments (mostly from Phoebe and Chandler) but I've just never really liked that episode much, and I usually love the thanksgiving ones.

I thought Brad was a bit hammy in this episode. He was trying so hard to be funny that it came across as OTT. However Christina Applegate, who played Rachel's sister on two occasions, I thought was brilliant and was natural with it. |

Yes having Jennifer's then real life husband pretending to hate her must have seemed hilarious to the writers on paper.

I didn't think Pitt was terrible or anything, and he clearly can act, but he wasn't very good in the episode, decent but nothing note worthy, except for one scene that always cracks me up its when Rachel is looking over to him and says to monica something like he's really got that sexy smouldering look going on, cut to pitt looking at her angrily, then she says look how he's just staring at me I think he's trying to mouth something at me but I can't make it out, cut to pitt very clearly mouthing I hate you

I liked the bit where Pitt did the little hair flick.
On a separate note, I forget the episode name but it is when Monica is trying to stop Phoebe contacting Mike after their break up. When Monica gets Phoebe's cell phone from her, Phoebe shouts 'Damn you Monica Geller Hyphen Bing'. Was that actually her name? I recall she either just stayed Monica Geller or changed to Monica Bing, not Geller-Bing. |
