In TOW The Prom Video.
In his conversation with young Rachel, Ross says he was going to hang out and work on his music during the summer. Chandler turns to (present day) Ross and says, "Work on your music?" The way it came out made it sound like Chandler was surprised he was musical even though they were in a band together in college.
It may just have been the inflection he used but I still gripe on it.

I was watching that episode yesterday and thought the exact same thing. We have seen in other flashbacks to their college years that Chandler and Ross worked on music together so there was no reason for Chandler's surprise.

I took it to mean that he thought Ross saying that was a really geeky thing to say to the girl of his dreams.

i think it was the way he said it like it was so uncool

This was before it was revealed about Chandler and Ross's music but still an error

In the scene Phoebe has with Mike's ex, she suddenly and bizzarely takes on a conservative persona, refusing to call the woman by her name (Precious) because she thinks it's ridiculous, to the extent that she picks another name for her instead.

This is Phoebe the dippy hippy, just the sort of person you might expect to relish an unconventional name. In another storyline from the "Mike" era she tries to change her own name to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock and I may have remembered this wrong but didn't she initially want to give her brother's kid a bizarre name - Phoebo or something?

That was Emma who Phoebe tried to call Phoebo. I'm sure she suggested a bizzare name for her brothers kid too

You must remember that Precious was Phoebe's rival so that kind of explains her behaviour

i dont think she got snobby its a ridicullous name
she wanted to call her nephew something beginning with THE but in the end chandler guilt triooed her into picking chandler

But otherwise she didn't really behave as if she were a threat, in fact she was quite kind to her.

Surely in the Red Sweater episode the Friends would have known that Ross regularly wore a Red Sweater

Also when Phoebe and Rachel are outside the coffee house there is another guy in the background wearing the same sweater

he hadnt worn it for a month though joey said he found it in his apartment and joey takes no notice of peoples clothes im sure

Everything about the Videotape episode is excellent

Not really a gripe but something that has most likely been mentioned.

We know joey is a player, sleeps with girls here and there. But I find it disrespectful that two of his longest term girlfriends were taken from him by his two best friends. I guess the writers did it in a way tossay "Joey always treats girls like that so we don't care whether they cheat on him". But that's not the point. Chandler got with Kathy behind his back and Ross with Charlie. So whether he cheated in the past, it's harsh that Kathy and Charlie ditched him.

I don't recall him purposely taking a girlfriend away from one of his best friends. He'd get more stick for it but he quickly forgave Ross and Chandler after.

kathy i agree with but him and charlie were never serious-he went straight to rachel after they split up so he can hardly say anything to ross can he

Yet Ross was able to say something to Joey.

Hadn't Charlie and Joey already broken up by the time Ross and Charlie had their first kiss? I know timescale wise it was probably only a couple of hours but they weren't a couple anymore at the point that Joey saw them kissing and then immediately went off to find Rachel and get with her.

Also Ross, not knowing Joey had already seen them, wanted to tell Joey about his feelings for Charlie and ask for his approval before he and Charlie did anything more serious.

Charlie had already dumped Joey

Joey was cheating on Cathy whereas Chandler was in love with her and vice versa. They did not plan to betray Joey, they just got carried away one time, and they stopped at kissing out of respect to Joey. Chandler, having made strenuous efforts to persuade Joey to choose the other woman, then voluntarily admitted to Joey what had happened even though Joey was completely in the dark about it.

Joey was absolutely furious, and only relented when he realised it was true love. Chandler had been prepared to both give up Cathy and spend Thanksgiving in a box to mollify Joey.

As for Ross, he was on two occassions supportive and encouraging of Joey vis a vis Rachel, despite it being incredibly difficult for him to handle.

I think the point was that Ross kissed charlie and Joey saw it, so he thought Ross wasnt caring of his feelings so he didnt need to discuss Rachel with Ross and went to go kiss her.

Personally I try and forget all that stuff I hated it.

I hated all the Joey/Rachel stuff too it was cringe.
It did bring us the one where Ross is fine though

Yeah, I can never get enough of Ross acting like a jealous prick and as if Rachel is his actual property.

I always found it a bit odd the way the male Friends would get so furious at the thought of one of the others having a fling with one of their relatives.

Most notably Ross when he saw Chandler and Monica kissing. Even if it had been just a casual fling this was 2000, not 1700.

Similarly, would Monica's cousin really be that bothered that Monica once went out with her Fiance? And wouldn't the Gellers have known whom she was marrying in advance? From Ross' invitation if nothing else.

the cousin thing i agree with it was a lame story-and yes they would have known who she was marrying beforehand

The cousin thing started off well and contains one of my favourite lines "Monica stop saying blood to strangers"
But the "twist" at the end wasn't well executed at all.

And Ross being protective of Monica, well fair enough but this is the man who tried to get off with his own cousin! Maybe he just wants Monica for himself :-/

I feel kinda bad for Ross at times. He's a jealous fool over Rachel but everytime he meets someone new she involves herself in it some way or another, even if it's not intentional.
Julie, Bonnie, Emily, Elizabeth, Mona, Charlie. If she's not wrecking it, she's still there on the periphery (dating Elizabeths dad - the double dates, Charlie not so much but she's still on the edge of it all)
Where as Ross was never too pushy once Rachel was dating someone else, yes he was sulky over Paolo and trying to persuade her not to get back involved with Barry but after the whole "we were on a break " thing he seemed happy to move on with his life. He wasn't threatened by Joshua or Tag.
The wanting to stay married thing was... Ugh
.. But I try to pretend that never happened. Stupid storyline.
He only turned jealous possessive Ross again when she was pregnant and "this whole joey thing" ugh just ugh.

Gosh I've rambled a bit now

I wonder if Ross and Rachel are still together now or how many breaks they've been on in the last 11 years
