In The one with the Dozen lasagnes (Season 1) Monica has to give away the lasagnes because Aunt Sylv wanted vegetarian lasagne and Monica made meat. However, as Rachel is dumping Paulo out on the balcony Monica and phoebe, the strict veggie, are both tucking into one of the lasagnes! Tut

I find it odd that neither Rachel's parents were at Emma's birthday. Even though they couldn't be in the same room as each other, surely Rachel would have invited them as she made a fuss about everyone having to be there

Phoebe's bacholorette party was odd. Why did she have a tea party and who were all her other friends there? Also Monica says in the wedding episode that she's never been fired when she was fired for giving away 5 Steaks and an Eggplant

One thing that for a while has struck me odd was Chandler and his career. Now when we first meet Chandler he has his office job and eventually he quits and begins a career in advertising. My issue is, that we know Chandler went to college with Ross so we know Chandler has a college education. Did we ever learn what Chandler studied because it seems to look like Chandler simply finished college, moved to the city and took up his office job.
I might be wrong here, but it seems a little strange that Chandler would go through college just to wind up working in an office for almost 10 years. |

When Erica is in New York Ross tells her off for stealing snacks from the hotel minibar. Had the writers forgotten the storyline with Ross stealing from hotels? Or were minibar snacks something that Ross thought was out of bounds? As Ross wouldn't steal the salt and pepper shakers but did steal salt and pepper

I don't know if it's been mentioned (this thread is so long that I bet everything has been mentioned numerous times!).
But I thought in TOW Phoebe's Wedding, Monica was a little out of character. Yes, we know that she is very organised and crazy with being in charge at times. BUT I think these two moments were a little extreme in terms of her character: 1. The rehearsal dinner. When Phoebe mentions her Mum and Monica rolls her eyes and says "Oh God". 2. Monica just sitting there filing her nails when Phoebe is having a breakdown on the phone at everything going wrong, "what the hell are lorkins" "I know!" and she just sits there with not a care in the world that Phoebe's big day was going terribly wrong. I know that Monica was annoyed at being fired as party organiser, but I didn't think she'd be the type to sit back and not care at Phoebe's wedding falling apart just to prove a point. Maybe it's just me. Also another one...I know it was done on purpose with him not remembering him, but there is no way Ross wouldn't have recognised Mark straight away. Mark had hardly changed and Ross was so obsessed that you'd think he'd keep Mark's face in his head forever due to his jealousy. |

but I didn't think Rachel would have went ahead with the idea of giving Phoebe the lamest bachelorette party ever. Especially considering Phoebe is not one to enjoy tea parties, "ooh raunchy", surely they would know even though they are "too old/mature for that", Phoebe was the "kinkiest" friend, they should have known to have gone for the stripper route at first. As for the others, maybe some of Phoebe's other friends, work friends, same with those that were at her baby shower when she freaks out due to her mood swings years earlier. Maybe there were a few of the same faces. |

After all the hype about Phoebe choosing Mike over David, I find it odd how little Mike appears in season 10. The wedding episode is nice but other than that he's barely in it

In the One With The Apothecary Table, Joey tells Monica and Chandler that Janine is sick as an excuse for why she can't go to dinner. When Janine comes out of the bedroom she's pretend-coughing which goes along with what Joey said, but then she gives a different excuse about going out. So why does she bother pretending to be ill at all if that's not the excuse she gives them?!

My interpretation is that Joey made up the sick thing and wasn't expecting her to come out of her room right at that point. |

The whole Janine storyline, mentioned it on here before so won't go into detail but it was ridiculous.
Also whenever they had a party how there were hundreds of their friends there - then they were never seen/heard of again. I know the producers wouldn't have wanted to pay loads of extras but most people at least mention other friends. The only one I recall is Phoebe's old roommate Denise. When Monica was fired and said "There's the possibility I won't make rent." She was subletting from her grandmother so surely not an issue? |

Now, I don't know how auditioning works if you are an actor, but the whole thing with Joey who is expected to audition for Days of Our Lives again was a bit annoying.
Does that happen in real life? I find it odd to believe that if someone leaves a show, a soap lets say for example, why would they choose to cast someone completely different if the previous actor wanted to go back? I understand if the person leaves of their own accord and then the producers want to bring the character back, but if the previous actor wants to play the role again, why would they not choose that person? As Joey said "who looks more like me than me?". I also could understand if the DOOL producers were different and didn't know Joey, but Terry and Joey obviously had worked with each other before. So, I'm surprised Terry wanted him to audition again for HIS role! It would annoy me as a viewer if someone on a TV show left, and then they bring back someone different if the previous person wanted to come back. Consistency and all. Imagine if for the Joey series, they cast someone completely different but Matt Le Blanc wanted to do it? If I was Matt, I'd be furious. |
