Yea that's another part, why would you invite a pair of strangers over to your house to talk about adoption while your son who knows nothing is there!
More hilarity |

It always bothered me that Susan wanted Ben to have her surname. He was Ross and Carol's baby and she was just Carol's girlfriend; she had no right to demand that at all, I thought it was outrageous.
Susan in general annoyed me, were we supposed to like her? Because I thought she was completely horrible in pretty much every appearance she ever made. |

Another one that is annoying is the way Ross talks in one scene in the episode where they discover Phoebe (well Ursula pretending to be Phoebe) is a porn star, which in itself is a bit bizarre.
Evidently Ross is already in the dirty video store when Joey turns up to specifically look for Phoebe's films. To try and prevent the others from knowing this, when Joey and Ross return with the videos, Ross starts telling this story that he saw Joey going towards the shop, ran in ahead of him and then pretended he knew he was there all along, as a way to deflect from the truth that Joey caught him in there. It's just the silly childish voice he uses and the fact that the way he tells it makes him look more guilty of being a weirdo/pervert than if he had said nothing. |

The dumbest part of the adoption storyline for me was the episode when they went to visit a couple who had adopted a boy, who I think were friends of Phoebe. The boy didn't know he was adopted and Chandler let it slip, not knowing the boy had not been told.
I know it was done to make it funny, but surely if this family wanted to maintain this secret, they would have made sure Chandler and Monica knew this way before they even came to their home, instead of just suddenly telling Monica when Chandler had already wandered off to the bathroom. On a side note, surely the boy might have suspected something as he was very ginger and as I recall, the parents were not. Not that this always means anything. |

I know there was a late season episode where Phoebe goes to the school to try and find Ben to get Sting concert tickets, Did she refer to him as Ben Gellar when speaking to the teacher or just 'Ben'? I can't quite remember |

I suppose the "hilarious " aspect of the Ross and Susan dynamic was that Ross couldn't say anything really to Susan or Carol for fear of being intolerant.
If Susan was Stuart, the hot Guy that Carol had met at the gym and she'd cheated on him with - the storyline would've been a bit different. OK once there was a baby involved then Ross would have to be civil for the sake of the new man raising his child (and wanting his surname on it!!) - but I think Ross wouldn't be expected to just take it the way he did most of the time from Carol and Susan. |

In the one with all the poker, Joey goes to order a pizza on Monica and Rachels phone but Rachel stops him as she is waiting for a job call back and he needs to wait until 9 to eat. So Joey sarcastically says 'I will have a tictac to tide me over' when he could just go 10 feet to his own apartment and order it

Rachel was acting like she was the only one that mattered. Joey could have done what you said, but personally I would have preferred it if he had overruled Rachel and just ordered the pizza anyway. I mean how long does it take to order a pizza anyway? |

I hate Rachel in the poker episode, in fact it is one of the poorer episodes overall.

On the contrary, The One With the Poker is one of the better season 1 episodes in my opinion

I also really dislike that Auntie who comes to teach the girls poker, so annoying she was. It is amusing how we all have different perspectives I suppose. |

Completely agree, her behaviour was appalling. Didn't she also refer to Ross as a 'sperm donor' as well? Urgh, horrible. It's interesting that Friends never really seemed to call out Carol and Susan on the awful way they treated Ross, perhaps they were afraid they'd be seen as intolerant if they did, as someone else here mentioned?

Joey's intelligence has been brought up lots of times, but don't know if this has...
So out of character in TOW Phoebe Hates PBS. In that episode alone he was miles ahead of Phoebe in terms of intelligence. First of all, his whole "selfless/selfish" speech, then it was informing Phoebe that Santa didn't exist and then "you know the bee probably died after it stung you". No way would Joey have been that intelligent later on, either he was having a very good day or Phoebe was supposed to come across as extremely dim and clueless. So, either he was out of character, she was, or both of them were. |

It makes Ross look very good. Not only is he supporting the marriage in terms of a "anyone can get married, not just a man and a woman", but also because he would be in the minority of people who would attend under those circumstances (ex wife cheats on you, gets married, you go to the wedding). And just like people said, after the way they treated him, it's even more big of him. |

Remember the weird guy that Phoebe set Rachel up on a blind date with in the same episode where Joey arranged for Ross to be stood up?
99% sure the same guy gave Monica a job interview at some point (I remember him saying he liked his salad "dirty") |

When Chandler and Monica get engaged and the gang celebrate: Phoebe says "this isn't right, Ross isn't here" then Rachel says "he's done this three times already he knows what it's about".
Surely Rachel of all people would know that even though he's been married 3 times he's only been engaged twice, and the two of them just got married on a whim. |

Same when they were moaning about not getting engagement presents! You weren't fookin engaged!! Another quip was about Ross's love of proposing And when he was telling Phoebe how much he loved being married - well maybe that one isn't so bad because he talked about the commitment aspect rather than anything else |
