As for the Denise thing, I'm pretty sure Denise was real. That's the joke. 'How can you have a roommate none of us know about?'. It's just very Phoebe to be so odd and not bring up the fact she has one before.

I posted a gripe a while back but no one answered. It was regarding Joey being so much smarter than Phoebe regarding everything in TOW Phoebe hates PBS
He reverted to season one Joey who as actually quick witted and rather smarter

The way they used to mock Chandler's job used to bother me.

In the real world Chandlers job was amazing, he was a manager and had his own office at the age of around 25, for a large multi national corporation. His friends at the time were an out of work actor, a waitress, a masseur and eve Ross, a palaeontologist, would have been nowhere near Chandlers financial bracket.

In the real world people would have to work at a company for 20 - 25 years for the kind of promotion Chandler was handed in series 1, even though he was still just working in a cubicle.

In TOW The Flashback, when Ross confronts Phoebe about her secretly having moved out of Monica's apartment he says "...she doesn't know you sneak OUT every night then sneaks BACK every morning" which, if that's what Phoebe was doing, was just completely pointless. Surely if Monica was so annoying and shrill and OCD, you would actually look forward to going to bed to get a break from her and get some peace and quiet? Why sneak all the way over to someone else's house to sleep overnight to come all the way back in the morning before Monica wakes up, when Monica is asleep and you're getting peace anyway?

I know it's just a joke but everytime I hear it I just sorta shake my head as it's so dumb to think about.

I'm sure this one has been mentioned already but if Joey knew about the button on Monica's heater in the one with Pheobe's dad, surely Mr Treager would have known about that button to turn it off too?

This was discussed as recently as the last page

Been enjoying watching the extended dvd editions again. Don't know if it's already been mentioned in this thread, but it was never mentioned in the show how Phoebe became friends with Monica, Ross and Chandler.

Maybe she just answered an ad to be Monica's flatmate.

Maybe she played music in the bar they used to hang out in and they befriended her

Phoebe's behaviour towards Chandler in the latter seasons was, at times, bordering on pure hatred.
The early season's too. The One With The football series three - I think - 'What do you guys really think of Chandler?'
'Mmmmm. You and your ways!'
'Chandler, right now nobody has a lower opinion of you than me.'
'Your workmates don't like you.'
None of this is dialogue a real friend would really say.

Ross got his fair share too.

Being mad at him because he called her boring in a dream, quickly choosing Rachel to attend her birthday party when choosing Ross or Rachel, mugging him (although that was before they knew each other).

They must have really got annoyed with Phoebe at times surely.

That's essentially how Joey became Chandler's roommate so it was probably that

Why was there a big thing about Chandler smoking in the cafe in the early 90's? I know there was the whole Gunther thing and them knocking it out of his mouth but I'm sure he wouldn't have been the only one smoking

Just had a marathon watch, when bonnie cuts her hair off do we know if she did that for the part or did she not mind it just seems a tad ott if she did it for a 3 episode stint.

Also just watched when rachel goes for the job at calvin klein there's no way zelner would of given her a job after the kissing and 2nd round incident

I haven't seen those Bonnie episodes for a while, but I think it was clear it was a bald wig she had on.

For the record, Zelner worked for Ralph Lauren, not CK.

A gripe against me haha

I did think about the wig but I didn't think it was that obvious if it was, but then I guess it's not meant to be is it

In the one with the invitation we see Monica, Phoebe and Joey opening their invitations to Ross and Emily's wedding before Chandler walks in.

Monica asks him if he received his invite to which he replies "No" feeling left out.

Joey then offers to take Chandler as his guest.

Surely Chandler would have received an invite? He's Ross best friend and is one of his best men at the actual event.

And surely he would have received his invite at the same time as everyone else. Ross posted them all at the same time as we see earlier in the episode so just always found it a bit weird that they wrote this bit into the episode. It doesn't seem to add much to the story or anything.

I always assumed Chandler just got his later, I don't know why not the same day as Joey but obviously he got one as he was a best man

Joey thinking that he was speaking French by literally saying "blah da blue" was the least funny thing to ever happen in the history of television.

Yeah, I think this was just so they could write a throwaway joke. Nothing more than that! He probably either got his in the next post or hadn't looked yet.

Don't know if it's already been mentioned ( probably has ) but i was watching the one where rachel pretends to smoke with her boss so she doesn't have to miss out on stuff etc. At first she says she doesn't smoke because her dad used to tell her horror storys about cancer etc ( with being a doctor ) But before that in one of the first seasons her dad's smoking like a chimney at her secret 2 birthday partys.

Her dad is a hypocrite, And most smokers would still try to scare their kids of doing it

I thought the friends hid Chandler's invite?
Because one of them says about Rachel "hers is the one we should have hid".. I think anyway I haven't seen the episode in awhile
But you are right in that it adds nothing to the episode and why would Ross post their invitations anyway he could just hand them to em.

The friends are hiding all their own invites when Rachel walks in. When she looks through her post she comes across the invite which prompts Chandler to say "maybe that's the one we should have hidden".
