I think Chandlers love of Annie is a bit like a friend of mine who watches Dirty Dancing everytime it's on Tv even though she has the Dvd.
It's possible Chandler was just skipping through a market one day saw Annie for sale for a dollar and bought it anyway. Or he had one for his apartment and one for work. Or one was a deluxe remastering job.

Chandler walks in on Joey and does the whole "My Eyes, My Eyes!" thing.

Phoebe walks in on Joey when she can smell his Bologna Sandwich.

Everyone walks in on Chandler having a bath.

And of course there's the whole episode where they all try to catch each other naked in the shower after Chandler originally did so with Rachel.

Either it doesn't have a lock or they're very open and trusting with each other about use of the bathroom.

I think I've mentioned it on this thread before but I hated the way that during the Thanksgiving 1987 flashback the writers made out that Monica had a crush on Chandler when Ross brought him over for dinner. When she made him mac & cheese as he didn't want to eat the traditional food and he suggested she should be a chef she said "ok" just because it was his suggestion. Then the following Thanksgiving, after she lost the weight, she was trying to lead him on to get back at him for calling her fat the previous year during which she acidentally cut off his toe.

None of this would have happened if they hadn't have made them a couple in the present life.

On this topic when the gang is at the beach Chandler spends the whole time trying to convince Monica that he would be a great boyfriend and Monica shows no interest.

Now granted Monica and Chandler obviously developed feelings for each other later in London but why was Chandler suddenly trying to convince Monica how good a boyfriend he'd be for her? He'd never shown any interest in being with her previously and it just seems an out of the blue thing for him to do.

Yes Chandler spends most of the episode going on about it or bringing it up again when we think he's forgotten about it. To mention it once or twice would be fine but he wouldn't leave it alone.

That was obviously where the writers first thought of the idea of putting them together and they were just testing the waters to see whether there was any chemistry between them but as you say he had never shown any interest in Monica before.

Chandler doing this is one of the gripes I have about the beach episodes.

Rachel forcing Bonnie to shave her hair off to become unattractive to Ross and subsequently Ross dumping Bonnie because she shaved her head are also gripes.

And after all that they got back together for about one day.

I noticed today that when we see Chandler, Monica and Pheoebe going to Vegas, the external shot of the plane taking off shows a 747 wide body aircraft, yet the interior shot clearly shows a narrow bodied aircraft.

He was just so enamoured that "THE RACHEL" had done this because she still had feelings for him and was jealous that he had to kick baldy to the kerb just like he did with Julie.

There seems to be a lot of inconsistency around Chandler's penis.

Remember when he is chained to a chair at Rachel's work by Joanna, Rachel promises to tell all the girls he is well endowed. But Joey laughs this off as a lie when he finds out.

However when Monica first sees Chandler naked in London, she has a look of surprise on her face, implying he is well endowed.

Then of course there are the two examples given above.
