They were engaged after 6 episodes lol
I meant the ending, as other posters have now covered for me very well.

The episode where Phoebe organises a surprise party for Rachel a month in advance when Chandler's birthday is first is weird. It seems like everyone (including Chandler) has forgotten that Chandler's birthday was first. Surely someone like Gunther at least would have remembered?!

Probably mentioned, but the sheer contrast in Joey's dumbness/intelligence.

He can quickly add up the total of the bill when he was working at the 'coffee house', yet needs a calculator to divide 1000 in half wasn't it, (the ep where chandler falls asleep at joey's premiere)

Help 'plant the emu's', with that whole bird meat scene, I mean come on.....yet when dressed as Superman that time, he makes a quite witty remark about, 'flying the Jews out of Israel'

Season 10: The One Where Rachel's Sister Babysits:

Phoebe tells the friends how Mike was going to propose to her but she inadvertently told him she hated the way he was going to do it. Monica then suggests that Phoebe proposes to Mike instead, telling Phoebe that "[she] proposed to Chandler."

Did she really propose to him though? The scene was Monica was the first to get down on one knee, became too emotional to finish, then Chandler got down on one knee and it was him who asked her "will you marry me?" I took that to mean that it was Chandler who proposed to Monica rather than the other way round.

Why would Gunther remember Chandler's birthday?

There was a scene once in Central Perk where Gunther pretended he was going to write everyone's birthdays on a list and asked Rachel first (as that was the one he really wanted) and then Ross went to give his birthday and Gunther dismissed him. So Gunther didn't know anyone's birthday except for Rachel's.

I always assumed that Chandler was maybe thinking there would clearly be a party for him too if they were doing this and that is why he gives that awkward look when Rachel points out his is actually next. He realised they had all genuinely forgotten and he wasn't getting one too

True, but Gunther always attended birthday parties for the friends over the years so he could have remembered

Just seen the "Paul is the Man" episode again.

There's a bit where Rachel asks Paul to get some ice for her Diet Coke and he goes into the kitchen. Rachel then gets Ross out from under the couch and tells him to hide in the room next to the kitchen.

Whilst they are doing this they have a conversation where at one point Rachel pretty much yells at Ross to get in the room.

I've always wondered how Paul doesn't hear any of this. He's in the kitchen and they are just out of the kitchen in the lounge. Surely he can hear them talking yet he doesn't even ask Rachel who she was talking to or anything. Elizabeth doesn't turn up until Paul has returned to the lounge.

Just remembered it form seeing the episode again.

That is the old TV trick of if you aren't being spoken too then you can't hear the conversation (Unless you are shown sneakily listening) Not a valid reason but it is something that happens way too often on TV

A bit like the time when Rachel hears Chandler & Monica talking on the phone (before it was common knowledge they were a couple) and she hears Monica say to Chandler: "You know what your nickname is Mr Big" cue Rachel screaming down the phone before she hangs up.

And the reverse, when they develop super-hearing in Barbados, and are able to listen to Joey and Rachel through a wall, across a corridor and then through another wall!

It was only one wall as Chandler & Monica's room was adjoining with Rachel's room. They even had the adjoining door that Chandler drags Joey through when he was looking for a place to hide when Ross comes over.

However Ross' room had a corridor separating it from Chandler & Monica's so that was less believable they could hear anything in there.

Rachel's room was massive compared to everyone else's as well.

How is kissing Melissa the only wild thing Rachel ever did in her life

Why doesn't Phoebe believe her anyway.. She knows she kissed Monica and Mindy! jumped out the window on her wedding day, shagged in a museum, Flew to London to stop Ross getting hitched, went to dinner in a see through nightie, Got married in Vegas?
All of these are more "wild" than a couple of sorority girls making out.

Yeah, that's a good one. Maybe the writers were thinking, "Well, the sets are next to each other so......"

Maybe mentioned already, but...

Just watching The One With Chandler's Dad. They're discussing what he could be wearing to the wedding. Monica says "as long as he's not wearing a white dress and a veil". Phoebe says "I've got to do some shopping" and runs out.

Why would she need to do this - she's a bridesmaid...

Yes this is quite silly although as Rachel and Phoebe dress shopping wasn't mentioned at any point it's possible Monica had left them to sort out their attire between them ... But Can we really believe Phoebe would have picked a white dress and veil for herself to wear?!
No. No. Just a silly line for a cheap laugh eh

Wasn't that the point? Rachel 'said' she had done it, So as far as Monica was concerned it was people not replying that was the issue rather than the job not being done
