Chosen tonight as winner of RTE's Eurosong contest :

What do you all think? Must say it's a bit of a surprise to see the Irish public vote for a dance track

I don't think it's all that good. It's certainly not on the same level as Loreen's or even Cascada's song.

Thank god it's not Jedward again! Couldn't bare to see those two hack and slash the songs they sing.

I think it sounds a bit dated but was maybe the best of a bad lot

I'm not a fan of it but I guess it really was the best of a bad lot. Even if it does get through the semis I don't see it finishing Top 10.

So far, Norway's entry is really the only one I like

Just had a quick look and the song by Aimee - Crashing Down is a much better song.

Also, was that girl Kasey one of the girls from that Irish girl group that just never took off?

That's her, Kasey Smith from Louis Walsh's group Wonderland.

I'm a bit surprised Aimee lost out in the televote to Ryan....presumably he must have pulled in the teen girl votes in big numbers.

I'd bet my house on this song not doing as well as Jedward's Lipstick (8th place), and probably not even as well as Waterline (19th).

Higher than Waterline for me, but Lipstick's position will be much trickier.

It's still a fact that Jedward gave Ireland their best result since 2000.

I love it, but I don't think it really stands on its own outside of eurovision barriers (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)

They probably won't make it out of the semi finals, if you look http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovis...3#Semi-final_1 they are in the semi final containing a massive eastern block

Aimee lost coz her ballad was out dated and a tad depressing. Ryans is fun, uptempo and I think it will actually get top 5 at Eurovision.

A lot of those countries don't have the best track record of qualification actually and only Ukraine and Russia have been present in every final since the introduction of the semifinals and Russia was close to not qualifying in 2011 and Ukraine was only saved last year due to high jury votes.

I thought Aimee's ballad was dreadful. It sounded like a sub-standard Adele reject.

It was dreary beyond belief and went no where. Her vocal was good but I think it was more a case of "wow, she's only 17" that made it do as well as it did.

It would have been a good choice especially with the horsemeat scandal and all.
