Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds new album 'Push The Sky Away'

Anyone heard the new album 'Push the sky away'? Have to admit to only being a casual fan of Nick Cave but think this album is one of the best i have listened in a very long time.
It 's one of Caves quieter moments and is certainly a contrast to the previous album 'Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!'.

Here are the two singles from it 'We No Who U R' and 'Jubilee Street' which features Ray Winstone in the video:

Love Nick Cave!! For me it's not quiet as immediate as dig Lazarus dig, but the more I listen to it the more it's growing on me

I was disappointed with 'Dig Lazarus Dig!!!' when that came out so I'm thrilled to say that I think 'Push the Sky Away' is brilliant! A vast improvement on the last album and his Grinderman work, and I'd even say it's not far off the level of his very best albums. 'Water's Edge', 'We Real Cool' and 'Higgs Boson Blues' are my favourites so far, but 'We No Who U R' and 'Jubilee Street' are both really growing on me too.

It didn't grab me immediately, like a lot of Lazarus did, but it is very good. Slowly worming it's way into my brain. Wide Lovely Eyes, Water's Edge, Higgs Boson Blues and the title track are probably my favourites. Wasn't sure about Jubilee Street at first, but it's stuck in my head good and proper at the moment.

Might be a grower, but not feeling it just yet.

Must say I prefer the sonic excess of Grinderman.

Got this the other day and given it a couple of listens, pretty mellow compared to some of his other stuff (I suppose he has Grinderman for the full on intensity these days) and I'd agree about it taking a few listens to realy get in to it, but it's definitely getting there for me.

I'm not such a big fan of Cave's quieter stuff but this album is pretty good. It's quiet without being morose like Boatman's Call, probably closer to No More Shall We Part.

Still, it's a good contrast to Dig Lazarus Dig or the Grinderman stuff.

Grinderman actually split up in 2011, though they are playing a one-off gig soon I think.
