What a lovely looking cat, I particularly like the oversized whiskers and eyebrow whiskers.

The one saving grace was that it literally took about 5 seconds for the injection to do what was needed. I held her gently while she slowly fell down and to sleep.

My other cats know something is not right too. Sadly, sooner or later her sister, (from the same litter), may join her.

I miss her so very much. 16 years is a long time. (She was actually 16, I sat and worked it out earlier).

I have had to say goodbye to several of my cats (and dog) in the same manner. All various ages ranging from 12 to 19 years.

It is such a sad time yet I found comfort (and still do) in focusing on the many years we had together.

16 years old is a good age for a cat....Sassy had a long life in a loving family.

xxxx take care

Thanks all for your messages. Much appreciated.

I think of her everyday, and have even thought I saw her a couple of times, (just as I turn round). It's usually one of my others

I know she will be in my thoughts and memories for evermore.

I had a nice little card this morning posted to me from the Vets, saying:

"We are very sorry for the loss of your pet Sassy.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Best wishes
the team at Companion Care Vets."

How nice is that? Very unexpected, and much appreciated.

I have just come back from another sad time. I just let my Tiger go to sleep. She was Sassy's Sister from the same litter.

Rest easy little one. Go an find your Sister x

Awe no,how terribly sad for you.
That card from your vets back in March was such a lovely sentiment. Luckily they seem to know how much we love our little friends.
