Blondie v. Madonna
Who was the better pop artist? Vote. Comment.
Blondie was a band. Debbie Harry was the lead singer, but for this poll I will accept either and both. |

Definatley Debbie Harry, it is an insult to Debbie to even compare her and Blondie, to Madonna.

Blondie are one of my guilty pleasures! It was an insult to them when Wand Erection recorded that shitty cover.
Madonna is overrated. |

I've just listened to Blondie's entire catalogue on Spoitfy and, singles apart, they were pretty bad. |

Blondie
apart from the obvious songs, the Plastic Letters album is an overlooked classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho3lsY6ssnw |

Did you pose the question of Madonna vs. Blondie and not expect anyone to say Blondie?

I have voted Madonna but prefer Blondie
Your question was ŵho is the better pop act and there's no doubting Madonna was/is a great pop act, possibly only second to Michael Jackson. Blondie were just brilliant, even their 1999 comeback single hit number 1 in the UK which just shows how much they were loved and still are. |

Yes. Based on what I've heard of their album tracks (excluding singles) which I thought were dire.
Blondie by a long way. |

A lot of it, painfully dire. Imitative Phil Spector/50's girl group.
Seriously what are you talking about? |

Certainly in their case. Evidently.
Are you an X Factor viewer by any chance? I believe they have a forum for that, leave this music forum for people who actually want to talk about music properly! |

Blondie for me. I used to like Madonna in the eighties but don't feel her music has stood the test of time.

I don't mind both but I like more Madonna songs than Blondie songs.

I only can take Madonna up to Vogue and thereafter for me she fell off a musical cliff ( I was a huge fan right from day one)
Blondie are just stunning and I cannot praise them enough |

Madonna.
A lot of Blondie's music was good but I just don't come alive when I listen to their music like I do with Madonna. She's fantastic. |
