Season 13 and this is still must see tv for me.

I think Ted Danson fitted in easily and smoothly and revitalised the show for a few more seasons.

I agree, once and if he leaves I imagine the show will take a female lead! Well I hope so, think that would be interesting to see...

I was looking at both CBS's and Channel 5's promos for season 13 and I have to say I think Channel 5's is a whole lot better! Channel 5 do a good job promotion wise!

Looking forward to this tonight. They should wrap it up in one episode, CSI don't do many arc stories.
Wonder will there by any changes this season, cast etc. will see.

I think so too. And I know Grissom is coming back in voice for two episodes. That's all I know.

Good to have this back. As I thought the cliffhanger story was wrapped up in the first episode. I'm glad of that, CSI doesn't do very good story arcs (apart from the miniature killer maybe).
The bit with Sara having a go at Nick for 'quiting' was funny.

I thought the whole thing was over-egged. The setup was good, but they didn't really know how to deal with all the threads.

Various, slightly random, thoughts :-

• I hated the "DB daydream" bits - they messed up the flow. I hope they won't be a regular part of this season.
  
• I also hope we can go back to a lighter touch from DB and Fin - they gave the last season a real boost by not being dark and heavy, getting a plateful of angst from them will seriously put me off.
  
• Are we going to have an episode devoted to the disciplinary actions? In what world would DB have got away with doing his own investigation?
  
• What the hell was the Nick subplot about?

I quite like some of the other story arcs - I'm working my way through CSI from the beginning at present, had forgotten how early on in the show Paul Millander appeared.

- I actually liked the flashbacks, they worked well in the twists and turning action of the story.
- I'm sure DB wouldn't be having a light relationship with anyone when his granddaughter was in danger. I'm sure his and his relationship with certain members of the team will return to normal.
- Do see your point, but, it isn't real is it... Oh and it added to the action.
- Nick "quit" in the season twelve finale.

I thought it was a really good start to the new season.

9 out of 10 from me!

I've been watching it at US pace. But from what I remember from this one it was really good. I like how it linked into Frank's diner and don't think we've seen the last of the stalker guy from there!

I'm talking about Season 13, Episode 1: "Karma to Burn" - I may not have been watching closely but what you describe was not in the episode LOL...

I enjoyed it in the most part, although I had completely forgotten what had happened in the previous finale. As a result I was a little irritated by the Nick story. I did enjoy the little daydream bits, sometimes its nice to know what is going on in someone's mind....
